Founded by actress and animal activist Katherine Heigl, we create products made with some of the healthiest foods on Earth — like premium, hearty beef from suppliers who care about the humane treatment of animals, as well as hand-selected superfoods for canine health. We also make it a priority to employ safe, responsible cooking practices by slow-cooking and air-drying our dog food to ensure maximum freshness and nutritional content. It’s all the good stuff your dog needs to thrive, with none of the bad. Named for her ranch in Utah where the Heigl Family rescues animals, Badlands Ranch stands for treating every dog with love and respect. That’s why it is a proud sponsor of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation and its rescue efforts, medical care, obedience training, and placement of dogs in happy, loving homes. With every purchase of a Badlands Ranch product, you’re not just helping your dog achieve a healthier life… you’re helping another dog in need find a forever home.

Riker loves the Badlands Ranch Superfood Complete! I use it as a topper as he also truly enjoys his primary food. He is a rescue pup and we had some health hurdles to overcome when we adopted him. Transitioning to a highly nutritious diet was a challenge for his digestion. I was very surprised that adding the Superfood Complete was a simple transition. Absolutely no digestive issues at all!!

My dog (recent timid adoptee) has never eaten both meals/day we feed (am/pm). She weighs about 12 pounds so I might have been feeding too much. However, she has only turned down the Badlands Ranch beef once since we started. I have decreased the amount to accommodate her reluctance to eat and because she has started gaining weight recently. She was very thin when we got her - so we are trying to reach a good ratio to keep her weight optimal. We have a vet visit this coming week, so hopefully I'll know if she's getting enough or not. We are actually quite happy with your brand of food. Smells real, just like beef and our picky eater loves it.

I have 2 100lb German Shepard’s they love the food. I feed them a raw beef diet mixing sweat potatoes, blueberries, broccoli and add 3/4 cups each of the Badlands Beef mix. They love it and I’m seeing way more energy in my oldest German Shepard.

Our puppies love how this food tastes and it specifically has improved the gut health of one of our pups who has needed to be on special digestive formula food. Wish I had taken advantage of ordering more in the beginning!

Milo loves the bites. I am trying to get him off the more unhealthy treats I have been giving him. I even took the bites to Assistance Dogs Of The West where I volunteer. The puppies also loved them and begged for more making training easier.
