Established in 1989.The business was started by sole proprietor & inventor Kennon McKinney fresh out of high school over 25 years ago at the young age of 18. We started out hand cleaning awnings under the name Spotless Awnings, Inc. but shortly grew into a full service canvas and vinyl Awning and Canopy custom fabrication company. Now as Back-Lit Awnings & Canvas, LLC this company is hands down the BEST fabric awning company in the S. Texas region, period. We are a small company that pays enormous attention to the highest detail. Isn't that why people buy awnings anyway?....to dress up their home or business. Our reputation speaks for itself & of course references are available upon request. Let us put our experience & knowledge to work for you & your Business!Meet the Business Owner:Kennon McKinney graduated high school in 1989 & immediately started this business. We have used this company for our Funeral Home awnings for a number of years. Great service, quality materials and workmanship. I highly recommend Back-Lit if you need awnings.

Back-lit Awnings did a great job for and delivered and installed exactly what we ordered. The lead time from order to installation of one month was longer than we expected but understandable due to the sewing involved. Thanks!

Kennon and his team are amazing! They delivered our awning on time and it looks beautiful.
They did excellent work in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to recommend Ken and his company to anyone.

Back-Lit Awnings & Canvas has done a good job for us over the years. They have replaced our awnings that have become worn and torn.

We updated all the signage on our building, including new awnings. They look fabulous and are very well manufactured. You can see the quality when you look at our building. We decided to go with the upgraded gore-tex thread so that we will get long term wear. I could not be more pleased with the results.I am sure you will find this a great place to do your awnings and sign work. Joel, Business Manager for Vic Auto Collision & Repair, Spring TX

The quality of my new awning is very nice. Was wondering how it would come out since it was a complex job in my eyes. Kennon was able to quote us very quickly and actually came in below budget. The project went smooth and it turned out better than I expected. I would highly recommend this company and I've actually already referred them to a long time business friend that was also in the market for a fabric canopy.

Loved to work with Back-Lit awnings & Canvas. They did a great job for us doing a canvas protection curtain for our outside kitchen area, nice awnings over our patio doors in the back, and a patio umbrella repair..!@ We were really happy - seeing as the job turned out perfect! Highly recommend this group!@
