Return nightmare

The hearing aid I ordered did not work for my needs, so I requested a return, only to have to set up a video call with a representitive to try to avoid me returning the item, which is fine, but they insisted on a "free" upgrade replacement to try, which could be returned. I then received the replacement and it did not work for me either, so I requested a return for a refund and was again prompted for a video call, which is really annoying and a waste of time because I just wanted to return it. Eventually I was sent a return label, which I have discovered that I had to pay over $8 for, which added salt to my wound of frustration. The item was delivered to them and I received a message that I would be receiving a check from a 3rd party company in 7-10 days. Why not just credit my credit card?? Well, its been over 2 weeks and no check or notification from the 3rd party and customer service has replied that they do not see a check issued and they would escalate the matter. Really?? Its $150. Why bnot just issue a refund on the spot? This company is great if you like the product but if you need a return, you better be prepared to roll up your sleeves and go to battle to get a return processed. Never seen anything like this. It appreas they have return issues and will do anything in their power to delay getting a customer a return or a refund. Ill update if the "escalation" goes anywhere, but its now become a part time job to get a $150 refund and I am in week 7 of chasing this refund. Unless youre 100% sure you want something from Audien, buy elsewhere. Follow Up Still no word back on the refund and Audien has re stated their return policies, which is fine, but someone shouldnt have to jump through hoops to return an item and not be informed that their satisfaction return policy does not include return shipping costs, which were double what we could have paid at the USPS. Bottom line is that its very difficult, expensive, and is an extremely slow return process. If they ever respond to the escalation of the refund processing I will update the review, but currently almost 3 weeks since the return was delivered and still no refund.

However, if you prefer to move forward with the return, you are absolutely welcome to do so within the 45 days. As part of our return policy, when a prepaid return label is provided, the shipping cost is covered by the customer and is deducted accordingly. In addition, once the hearing aids are received, they go through a standard inspection process by our Quality Team. This step ensures the returned items meet the return conditions before the refund is finalized, which can affect the overall processing timeline.
