The worst propane company! If i could have given zero stars i would have. This company is ridiculous. They do not send people out to read meters, they estimate and inflate your bills, when calling customer service they dont know anything about anything. Its so frustrating to deal with a company like this! Not sure how they stay in business!

DO NOT DO Business with this company!!! They will not show up when they are scheduled to, phone requests for deliveries disappear with no record, only to be apologized for, re-ordered and disappear again. It took two months and three calls to get a gas delivery. Their customer service people don't speak English so can't understand or help you with your problem. There is no way to contact the local office so they have no idea of what you need and their cost per gallon is much higher than others!

Been with Amerigas for several years, but over the years it has been downhill. Couple of days ago, one of their truck came down the street and backed into my paved drive, this is a big, big "no, no". The heavy truck is much too heavy for residential drives. We did not order a delivery, we were not scheduled for one either, why the truck came is beyond me. He just sat in the turck a few minutes and left. I spent all day yesterday trying to call the Staunton, Va local office. What I went thru is unbelievable. I could not speak to a local person about the problem no luck, all I got were people who did not speak very good English and I kept asking to be connected with the Staunton office, NOPE. the last person I spoke with said the district manager would call me. I waited all day, he never called. My tank is almost full, as soon as I use the propane that is in the tank, I am done with Amerigas, They can come and get their tank, I will be going with another company. If they would pay me for the propane in the tank, I would do it now. Screw Amerigas!!

1 star is generous. No integrity anymore with this company. Was paying over 2.70 a gallon, switched to another company and now paying less than 1.30, locked in for 2 years. This place is a joke, so much for being a loyal customer. Going on 4 months still waiting for my old tank to get picked up, reminds me everyday to tell as many people as I can to switch. If you like price gouging, this company is for you! 😀

The worst Company ever to do business with. Charge us $120 for not using enough Propane in a years time. Then we we cancelled them and bought or own tank they charged us a picked up fee of $70, They never return calls and when you do get them on the phone they are not nice or helpful. The price gouging is rediculous also. Very high to competiers pricing. Just not a good company to do business with.

I would rather burn all my furniture for heat than ever use Amerigas again. They are non-responsive, incompetent, irresponsible, and simply awful to do business with. You would think that any service company faced with tens of thousands of consumer complaints would care - - just a little bit - - to take some corrective actions. Not these guys. If you have ANY option aside from Amerigas, take it.

One of the WORST DISHONEST COMPANIES I have ever had to deal with! First off they raised the price to over $4 per gallon, when our local gas station sells it for under $2.50! I called to speak to an agent who after an hour on the phone said they would knock off $20!! So of course I canceled my service. Then I was charged almost $80 for them to pick up their own tank! Amerigas has the worst customer service that takes 20 mins or more just to talk to an agent, the agent will refer to their on line agreement that states the almost $79 fee! When I asked her to produce the agreement that I signed, she hesitated and finally looked it up and there is stated a pick up charge of $39! Amerigas was deliberately lying to me to get more money out of me! Then because I didnt pay their dishonest $79 fee, I was charged a late fee of $39.99 on top of that!! When I complained to BBB that told me that due to the sheer volume of complaints agains Amerigas they only will post 10% of them!! AMERIGAS IS WORTHLESS COMPANY.....BEWARE!!

Amerigas customer service 101: whether the customer contacts you by phone, email, or the chat feature on the website, give them the good old "I'm leaving a note with the technician and will make sure that you are a priority!" line. I have been a customer for a few years now, and since they closed all but one "local " office I have noticed that they love to put off your request for refill until a day or two after your tank runs completely out. Then you get hit with the leak test bonus fee. That's if you are lucky. God help you if you are a 7am to 5pm ham and egger. They will lock your tank out and there it will sit, all useless and full of gas like the customer service representatives that I've been calling for a month straight. And as I wrote earlier, you learn when they want to end the call when they say "Oh my, I don't know how this happened. I'm going to leave a note with the technician and make you a priority!" Yeah honey, I'm sure you will...
