NOT RECOMMENDED
Was forced to get this insurance through my medical insurance. When I canceled my medical insurance, I also canceled Americo directly. Called again five days later to make sure it was canceled. I was told there was no signature on file that I had to fill out a form and had to be notarized. So then I had to go pay for a notarization to cancel this insurance. So they didn’t need my signature to take out of my bank account, but they needed my signature for me to cancel it.I then get a bill three weeks later for not one month but two months. This time I called there was no option to call me back and yes, I waited on hold for two hours and 48 minutes. So either they desperately need help or their company is so bad that they had 279 people ahead of me when I called. Would not recommend anybody. I didn’t need it or want it, but was forced in order to get the medical insurance. I had already had four other life insurance insurances that were a better deal than this.. if I could give it a zero I would. If they didn’t have my signature to take out of my account or my approval, maybe they shouldn’t have taken that out.
