Alaskan Leather CompanyReviews of alaskanleathercompany.com

Poor Quality book bag. Within 8 months after purchasing this leather bookbag the shoulder strap came completely apart. Some exterior areas of the bookbag also are showing wear within a month after owning it. After i reached out to the company about the broken shoulder strap, they replied quickly but wanted me to take it to a leather company to have it fix then they would reimburse me. I just thought if Alaskan Leather stood behind their product like they say they do they would have handled this situation differently.

I just got a bill from fedex for $20 for, I suppose, customs charges on a $60 wallet. Maybe I should have looked at the fine print on the FAQ page "No. Customs duties at the destination (where applicable, e.g. in certain EU countries) are the customer’s responsibility." But I probably wouldn't have thought certain EU countries also meant the United States. Just say up front and charge up front for them! I hate this kind of BS

Exception Backpack---great quality product, appearance excellent--I have received many compliments. perfect choice. Item came in on time. I will continue to order items from ALASKAN LEATHER COMPANY!

Alaska Leather has the briefcase I have been looking for listed in their online store. However, it was not made in the heavier grade of leather I was searching to find. I contacted them, and they were able to construct the briefcase in the leather I desired. It arrived today, and I am ecstatic!! I never thought I'd find an online retailer willing to do custom work! What a great experience this has been.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **Outstanding Craftsmanship & Service – Custom Backpack Perfection!** I couldn’t be happier with my custom-made backpack from **Alaskan Leather Company**. From the very first conversation to the final delivery, the entire experience was exceptional. The craftsmanship is truly top-tier. The leather is thick, rich, and beautifully finished — you can immediately tell it’s premium quality. Every stitch is precise, the hardware feels durable and substantial, and the overall construction is rock-solid. This is clearly a bag built to last for decades, not just years. What really stood out was the attention to detail in the customization process. They took the time to understand exactly what I needed — pocket placement, sizing, strap adjustments, and even small design touches that made the backpack uniquely mine. They offered thoughtful suggestions based on experience, which made the final product even better than I had imagined. The backpack is not only rugged and functional, but it’s also stunning. I’ve already received multiple compliments on it. It’s comfortable to wear, distributes weight well, and works perfectly for both daily use and travel. Customer service was just as impressive as the product itself — responsive, transparent about timelines, and clearly passionate about their craft. If you’re considering a custom leather backpack and want something heirloom-quality, Alaskan Leather Company is absolutely worth it. This is true artisan work, and I would order from them again without hesitation.

Great company! Quality products and excellent customer service.

I do like the product thus far and, if it lasts as long as it should, my complaints will be water under the bridge. However, since I am answering this early on, I need to address the packaging. For a product that costs more than $100, I would expect packaging that is more professional. However, it was just in a cloth bag and then inside a standard shipping bag, no box or anything so it showed up rather collapsed. This could be drastically improved.

Easy to purchase and arrive on time. Grandson loved it!
