Be extremely careful with AKOOL. I cancelled my subscription months ago and had absolutely no active plan anymore for around 6 months. Suddenly, my card was charged again for a “2x credit promotional offer” that I NEVER purchased, activated, or approved. This honestly looks like a scam tactic. It feels like they are targeting former customers who cancelled their subscriptions but still have a saved payment method on the platform. Then they suddenly reactivate charges and later claim that the customer “purchased” it themselves. When I contacted support, they immediately sent a generic copy-paste response refusing a refund instead of properly investigating the issue. As a long-time customer, this is insane to experience. I never expected a company I used for so long to behave like this. At this point, I genuinely believe this platform has become dishonest and potentially fraudulent. I will now proceed with a chargeback through my bank and warn as many people as possible to avoid storing their payment information on this platform. In my opinion, this is no longer a trustworthy company. BE CAREFUL!!

was misled by the website's interface which triggered an automatic charge on my card without a clear confirmation step (Dark Pattern). I contacted their support immediately to explain the mistake, as I didn't even use the service. Their answer was a cold refusal, claiming "accidental purchases cannot be processed" based on their policy. This is a total lack of professional ethics and a violation of consumer rights (especially the 14-day cooling-off period in Europe). Avoid this site if you value your money and expect fair customer service. I am now forced to start a chargeback procedure with my bank.

All marketing materials pointed towards being able to use a custom avatar to use for motion tracked live google meets however only after purchasing subscription do you find put that there is no way to do this. Also, the "Akool camera" when selected on google meets only appeared as a blank black screen. Super disappointed

I am trying to do a video character swap. When I click on "Generate," it keeps popping up an upgrade screen. I am already a pro user with over 500 credits available. There is nowhere to contact customer service. I sent an email a few hours ago, but have not heard back. Right now, if you need something dependable, Akool is NOT it! So I got an essentially immediate response from Akool after posting a 1 star on Trustpilot, but STILL no reply from emailing their info akool email address in over 36 hours. I guess this shows what they care about. Hopefully their customer-diservice gets the issue fixed soon. I signed up with them because they have a decent product, WHEN I CAN ACTUALLY USE IT.

Updated Apr 29. Thing change: nothing, time wait still more than 1h, cost increase both image and video gen, quality down for kling imagen. Thing done: Akool refunded my money. But service still bad (i still use) Quality: average 5.5/10. Technical issue: happens frequently. Advise: buy if you want a test web for average quality. Dont push all your money in (for something call unlimited /annual plan)because techinal issue, credit consume with low quality sometime and may be make you regret. Previous Apr 1 2026 I paid for yearly because of unlimited mode. At the first week everything get normaly 10min (kind of long wait for just a bad result pictures), now the generations even for paid are so slow that I cant work. I have been literally sitting here more than 60 minutes or more than it for ONE PICTURE. And you know what - this is since they introduced paying extra for faster generations. And i'm stuck with a yearly contract. ALOT OF USER HAVE THE SAME ISSUE, BUT THEY DONT FIX IT. It is clearly a liar, they make customer feel happy at first time ONLY 1 WEEK then change to turtle mode 1 or 2 hours wait (at the first when many user complaint wait 4 hours, they adjust a little bit fastter -> 2hour to keep everyone shut up, and they hope everything gone in silent). I know that i may not get refund after 1 month use, i am a stupid guys but i want my experience come to all who want to buy pro account, censored is the only thing they bait for customer. A company like this can not allow to run like this. To sum up, DONT BUY IF YOU DONT WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I seen several say exactly the same here. But yet you never heard about it before. On my account on Akool and in it says you charge me money for 200, the money diapered from my account and it says it Akool my bank too.. I never said I don't use it... I had it on recharge 200 credits when bellow 20 credits then I have turned it off like you see on my account. Now I have 1071 credits after Akool charging me 2 times yesterday and 2 times before when I had it off. Then I closed my card yesterday and later the same day It got it a mail from Akool that my payment was unsuccessful. Akool tried to charge me for another 200 credits... Akool keeps changing me money for extra credits I don't want, need or agree to buy. Yesterday they changed me two times before I got up in the morning. I had to close my card and after that the same day they tried another 3 time. So 3 times in one day. Akool are not helpful. I been in contact with them, but they just keeps charging me money. And now they are saying I have to prove to them that they are charging me money. Total scam. Stay away.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! Do not use this company for anything or sign up for any free trials with this company. Do not put any banking information on their website or they will steal your money! I haven't used this company's website in months and all of a sudden I look at my bank statement and I have a $58 charge from them without any consent from me whatsoever. They literally signed me up for a subscription without my consent and then proceeded to charge my debit card like it was their own money. I had to file a dispute with my bank in order to get rid of the charge that they placed on my bank account. This company is very shady and extremely sneaky for doing something like that. Check the other negative reviews here on Trust Pilot and you will see other people complaining of the same problems. I will never sign up for a subscription with this company. Their responses to peoples complaints here on Trust Pilot are also despicable. Most of their positive reviews are also questionable.
