AJ MadisonReviews of ajmadison.com

I ordered before I read the reviews. As soon as I saw how bad the reviews were I called to cancel. I was assured the washer and dryer would be delivered promptly. So I decided to trust them. And sure enough. Great delivery and great communication.

Bad experience. Their delivery company will push your date back by weeks if anything goes wrong in the process. Just know if you order from them, everything has to go exactly right. Otherwise, you won't see your appliances for a month after scheduled. And they charge big fees to return even if the delivery company pushes you back by weeks.

Bought a cooktop and they took 4 weeks to deliver it, when they said 2 weeks. When they deliver it I was not home, and they did not leave it. I called the delivery company and they are charging us $125 re delivery fee. Then I wanted a refund because I find this ridiculous, and AJ Madison charges you with a 35% re stocking fee. I have a contractor waiting. I called both delivery company and AJ Madison and they both said they would call me back with a solution. NO CALLS OR EMAILS AFTER A WEEK OF WAITING. You are the WORST company I have ever dealt with. You make the world a worse place. Hope you go bankrupt.

I decided to give AJ Madison a chance because they were advertising a storewide sale with significant savings. My fault for trying — the savings didnt even apply to my specific items. From the start, the experience was a disaster. My shipment was delayed, and every time I called, I was misled about product availability. They made it seem like everything was in stock and ready to ship, but in reality, they don’t carry stock at all. They wait until you place your order, then try to source the items it seems like— a process that caused weeks of delays. They never mentioned a split shipment until I brought it up myself — if I hadn’t pushed for it, my entire order would’ve been stuck until late June, despite placing it on April 7. Meanwhile, I’m trying to move into my home and have been stuck waiting. When the partial delivery finally arrived (after waiting for their limited Friday-only pickups), I was sent a dented and damaged dishwasher. Even the delivery team was surprised it was loaded in that condition. On top of that, I was told over the phone that installation was included — but the delivery guys informed me it would be extra and had to be paid separately via Zelle. To make matters worse, the appliance handles were shipped in the wrong color, and I’m still waiting on the correct ones to arrive — no rush or tracking, just more limbo. And as of now, I’m still waiting on my gas range and range hood, with no meaningful updates. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Thieves! Someone at their company stole my credit card info. I know it was them because a bogus $6000+ charge was made to a local company and my only recent local charge using that card was for an AC unit I purchased from AJ Madison. The fraudulent charge was attempted about a week after my AJ Madison purchase. My product delivery and other interactions with AJ Madison itself were fine, but someone in the company very obviously stole my credit card info! This company cannot be trusted.

STAY AWAY! I wish I had done some research on them before ordering. Terrible service in every way way possible. Worst vendor I have ever dealt with. They give misleading information, misleading dates, never return calls or messages, you have to hunt them down and get lucky. They don't take responsibility for their deliveries. I could go on and on. Do not do business with them. Many vendors pricing (such as Subzero) is the same at all shops, so just buy from someone else.

The AJ MAdison listed my item in stock...but that was a lie. Its a door to an ice maker. Waited 10 days for them to get it from the manufacturer...and now it'll be another 2 weeks or more to get the AJ Madison third party shipper to pick up the item and then bring it to me. The tracking is a joke....no information provided. As is their " Free Shipping Nationwide"....what a crock! READ THE FINE PRINT on the click through. Really insulting the way they treat their customers.

Absolutely terrible experience. I purchased a Fisher & Paykel refrigerator from AJ Madison spending $3200, thinking I was ordering from a reputable company. I couldn’t have been more wrong. For that price, you’d expect a smooth, professional experience. Instead, what I got was a nightmare. When ordering a refrigerator you have to purchase a waterline and then delivery charge—thinking that meant installation too. Apparently not. Buried in the print is a requirement to pay extra for installation. That’s on me for missing it, but come on—$3,200 and they drop the fridge in your house and leave? The delivery guys literally brought it in, pointed out that the water line I was required to purchase didn’t even fit the fridge, tossed the trash in my driveway, and left. I contacted customer service via chat who informed me that installation wasn’t included and claimed that all water lines sold by AJ Madison are compatible with every refrigerator. I sent photos proving otherwise. Only then did she admit there was a problem and offered a return label—but no solution or support to actually get the right part or help me get the fridge installed. When I asked if they could recommend certified installers (since Fisher & Paykel requires certified techs to avoid voiding the warranty), I was told installation would cost another $100 and an additional $125 for dispatching a team to my location. I ended the chat. I then reached out to see if they had a company I could contact to come handle the installation and was told by another agent that they did not have certified Fisher & Paykel technicians, they use "handy-men". In the end, I had to find a Fisher & Paykel-certified professional on my own and pay out of pocket just to get the appliance I already spent over $3,000 on up and running. DO NOT ORDER FROM AJ MADISON. Their customer service is unhelpful, their communication is misleading, and their policies are designed to nickel and dime customers at every step.
