I am so thankful for AIFS. It was an easy, affordable process to plan my semester, and the people I was paired with are now lifelong friends. Looking back, I still can’t believe how simple it was to pull off an amazing semester. It’s because AIFS took care of every last detail.

AIFS was amazing in providing a fantastic experience while I was abroad. The RDs at my location made me feel supported and taken care of while I was transitioning to the country and the university. I highly recommend AIFS as a study abroad program.

From the time I began filling out applications to the moment the assistant resident director hugged us goodbye, AIFS staff was polite, accommodating, and professional. I couldn’t have been placed in a better home or with a better roommate. AIFS activities including weekend trips were well-planned and fun. Most importantly, AIFS resident staff made me feel like I had a family in Granada. I am very thankful for them and would recommend a semester abroad with AIFS to anyone.

Studying abroad with AIFS was the best decision I could have possibly made for myself. The entire team was extremely helpful throughout the entire process (both before and after arriving in my “home” city of Salzburg). All of my questions were always answered within 24 hours and I felt secure knowing that I had the AIFS team behind me every step of the way!

I had an amazing experience with the AIFS program and staff. Everyone during the entire process was super helpful and accommodating. I studied abroad before with a different organization and they did not come close to AIFS.

I can’t recommend AIFS enough. From the beginning they were willing to work with me when I needed to change my session and they helped me when I had a flight delay en route to my new city. The staff in my study abroad location was excited, knowledable, and so very welcoming and kind. The value is the best part. Compare AIFS to any program and you’ll see that you get way more for the price with AIFS. My program (Prague) included a transportation pass and meal card that helped cover some of those living expenses. Also, additional weekend trips were very affordable to add on. For example, a weekend trip to Berlin included the transportation there, a four star hotel stay, all kinds of included activities, and our program leader came with us for the best recommendations. She also knew a lot of history related to Berlin, so it goes to show that the on site staff is helpful about ALL parts of your program. Seriously, whenever we needed anything the staff was always willing to help us. There are SO many free or discounted events you can participate in to enjoy the culture. I really had an amazing experience. I met the best people abroad, and had the most amazing roommate because they honestly take so much care into matching you with someone you’ll be compatible with based on your housing survey. I could not have asked for anything more. Our student housing was different than America, as expected, but was clean and quiet and perfect for what we needed. If you’re on the fence, I’d say go for it. The classes are well organized, the housing is good, the fun trips and programs are a good value, and you’re going to learn a lot. One last thing to consider if you are deciding between your own University program vs. AIFS is that with AIFS you literally make friends from all around the globe. It’s not just other kids from your school that you stay in a bubble with. You get out of your comfort zone and meet people on your program from all over America and from other countries too. I now have close friends in seven states around the country! I loved having that fresh mix of people rather than going with people who came from the same school/background as me.

I loved my experience with AIFS! I studied abroad in Cannes, France during the Spring 2019 semester. I was offered so many unique experiences, such as my internship during the Cannes Film Festival. During the process leading up to leaving, the admissions officers, as well as my Cannes Residential Director, were extremely welcoming and helpful. Also, I would highly recommend the London flight plan if it's available for your program! It's a great way to meet people in your program, the logistics are carefully planned out, and I loved exploring London too!

I loved my experience with AIFS. The advisor for my program is such an amazing person and she did an incredible job making our time abroad the best it could be. The extra trips and services from AIFS on top of those offered by my academic program took all the stress out of being abroad. Would absolutely recommend AIFS to anybody!
