Wait time and communication was terrible

I was told shipping was 1-5 days depending on where i was but it took 2-3 weeks to come in and I called 3 times and first 2 times I was told there was no delay, and on the 3rd time I was finally told it there was delay because a part was on backorder. I was told this mid way into the 2nd week. I hope you guys do better with notifying customers when there are delays. Or just simply have a message on the page saying delayed or atleast backorder. I'm sure the part is very good but the wait time and lack of communication is why I gave 2 stars. Since I can't reply to the service manager, I will just edit this. I had no problem on my last time calling I'm talking about the first 2 weeks when I called and was told nothing is wrong when I literally asked them if it was on backorder because I needed a drveshaft soon because my current one is chirping really loud signaling that there is not much life in it. To the last person I spoke to I appreciate them but all the other times I called before for the first 2 weeks, I'm very disappointed. Again I asked multiple times to those people and was told multiple times that It was fine and just to wait a few more days, then i asked if anything was wrong and I actually asked for a refund on the first time and I was told "wait a few more days" and I tried to continue with the refund and they persuaded me to wait then i asked if they can guarantee it will actually be in by that time and they said yes, and in the time I'm speaking about i wasnt told about any other options. And the option the last person i talked to brought up 2 other options 1 was 1600 with taxes 1700 and i forgot the other one but it was just as expensive and unreasonable to pay so much over the original price. Overall to the person I talked to on the last time I appreciate you and thank you I would give 5 stars if that was the person i talked to in the first week not well into the 2nd week. to the people before, I'm very disappointed, like I said I gave 2 stars because of the lack of communication throughout ALMOST the whole experience.

Hi Cyrus! Thank you for the provided order number and for taking the time to leave feedback about your experience with 10 Second Racing. I personally reviewed your order history and noticed you and I actually spoke several times throughout your wait time. Your driveshaft was advertised as in stock and ready to ship because the manufacturer, The Driveshaft Shop, advterised the driveshaft was in stock and ready to ship at their facility. Your order was submitted for immediate shipment to DSS on the same day you ordered with us. The 10 Second Racing vendor relations team followed up with DSS each day requesting tracking for your driveshaft order. When you and I spoke on your 3rd call in, I called DSS myself to identify what the delay was while you were on hold. DSS informed me the delay in shipment was due to a delayed delivery they were expecting from a 3rd party which suppllies them with the end couplers to many of their driveshafts (Tremec Corp). I informed you on the same call for the reason for the delay. You had requested to cancel on the call, suggesting you could order from another retailer and recieve the driveshaft faster from DSS. I clarified to you it did not matter who you had an order with, the delay was attributed to the manufacturer delaying shipment. As an altnernative, I proposed (2) aluminum driveshafts with the same specs 10 Second Racing had in stock on our shelf which you could switch to and recieve immediately. You denied both options and preferred to wait for the DSS driveshaft. Fortunately after I spoke with a service manager at DSS, they intervened with your order to push it out the door several days later. I understand your frustration with the situation, but cannot understand your frustration with 10 Second Racing's communication. We answered every call from you, every email from you and offered what I believe to be the best support a client could receive given the situation. Nonetheless, I actually appreciate you had the maturity to leave two stars when you could have left one out of spite.
