Young Architect has been helping architects pass the ARE exam and earn their architecture license since 2013. For more than a decade, we have helped thousands of candidates navigate the path to licensure with one mission: make architect exam prep actually work for people with full-time jobs and real lives. After experiencing the challenges of the ARE firsthand, licensed architect Michael Riscica founded Young Architect with a simple belief: nobody should have to navigate the path to licensure alone, guessing what to study, burning out, or wondering if they are even making progress. The ARE Boot Camp is the flagship coaching program and it has been running since 2015. This is not a course you watch by yourself. It is live coaching with a real person guiding you through the entire architect registration exam process.Weekly curriculum. Daily study groups. Real accountability. Boot Camp breaks the architect exam down into small, manageable pieces so you can keep working full-time and still make consistent progress toward passing. After years of coaching candidates through the ARE, we\u2019ve learned something. The fastest way to find success on the ARE is to stop worrying about the minimum you need to know to pass.Everyone wants to pass these exams. That is the whole reason we are here. But we approach it differently. We teach candidates to study with the intention of using this information on real projects with real clients. We use the architect exam as a launchpad toward a successful architecture career, not just a box to check. That is what separates Young Architect from everyone else. They focus on passing an exam. We focus on creating great architects who pass exams.Every course, every practice question, and every video we create is built directly from NCARB's published objectives. Those objectives define the exam, so they define everything we teach. For candidates who prefer to study on their own schedule, the ARE 101 Membership is the most comprehensive set of self-pa

I started watching the Young Architect Youtube channel, and I really appreciate how the 30 minute videos explain concepts using simple logic and relatable, everyday examples that make them easy to understand. I can just sit and listen on my car or anywhere without getting distracted.

Young Architect podcasts are quick, easy-to-follow, informational tutorials that help to summarize subject matter. They are great way to create "cheat sheets" for studying.

Thank you! Building your own cheat sheets off the episodes is a smart approach. The act of writing it down yourself does more for retention than reading someone else's summary ever will. Glad the Architect Exam Podcast is giving you good material to work from. Good luck with your exams.
I really struggled with the audio recordings of other ARE study materials, but the combination of inflection in the narrator voices, analogies to help remember content, sharing the "why" this is important, and then the study guides to reinforce knowledge are truly so beneficial!

Courtney, it's been great having you in ARE Boot Camp. You're almost there. The why is the part a lot of study material skips, and it's the part that actually makes the content stick. Memorizing a rule gets you nowhere if you don't understand what problem it exists to solve. Pair that with analogies and a study guide to reinforce it, and suddenly the material has somewhere to live in your head. Glad that combination is working for you. Go finish this thing.
I like that each topic is in a separate video and the study notes are available so I can use them to study for the NCIDQ. The videos are easy to understand and i feel like the information sticks. Sometimes it’s hard for me to focus but the videos really help me because of the drawings shown on there.

Stephanie, the one-topic-per-video setup is intentional. It lets you go deep on something without an hour-long commitment, and it makes it easy to come back to a single concept later. The drawings do a lot of work for exactly the reason you described. When focus is hard, having something visual to anchor to changes everything. Glad the information is sticking. Good luck with the NCIDQ.
I followed the advice that the team gave to succeed in my exam. The information they share is great to understand the big picture which is what other study guides lack.

Lorena, congratulations on passing CE! It was a pleasure having you in ARE Boot Camp and you earned that one. The big picture piece is everything. When you understand how the parts of a project actually connect, the details stop feeling like a list of facts to memorize and start making sense on their own. You followed the plan and did the work. Go get the next one.
The ARE Boot Camp was one of the best decisions I have made to start studying for the ARE Michael and his team were super helpful and supportive and are available to answer any questions you might have throughout the studying process. He is super knowledgeable and supportive and getting any additional certifications like the CDT or CASP exams under your belt

Tyler, it's been great having you in ARE Boot Camp. Glad the support has been there when you needed it. Picking up the CDT along the way is a smart move. The material overlaps with the pro practice divisions more than people expect, so the work you put into one pays off in the other. Excited to see you keep moving forward. Let's go.
I really like how they explain the topics using examples and images. They make the exam process a bit easier.

Taydee, it was a pleasure having you in ARE Boot Camp. You worked hard and it showed. Examples and images do a lot of heavy lifting. A concept you can picture is a concept you'll actually remember when it counts. Glad that approach made the process feel more manageable.
the notes are super helpful as a quick reference and to hit the high points to maintain knowledge on one topic when I move to study another topic.

Laura, that's a smart way to use them. Keeping earlier topics warm while you move on to new material is one of the hardest parts of studying for these exams, and a quick reference is exactly the right tool for it. Glad the study notes are working that way for you. Good luck with your exams.
