Yarbo had it's ups and downs, but in the end it is more than worth the investment. The company sometimes delivers products later or even earlier than anticipated, but in the end the products are well worth the investment. The customer service has taken care of all of my concerns and got things working again when they broke.

When it works, it works. It’s saved me COUNTLESS hours of not having to cut and trim the grass. Did it take some effort? Yes. Did it work automatically the first time? No. Could the mapping software be better? Yes, but there’s now a web based mapper that has been created which has TRANSFORMED the experience. Snow blowing is awesome, but it does struggle with heavy wet snow, as ALL snow blowers do. Support is overall very good. Do they resolve things in the end? Yes. But am I handy and do things on my own without having to wait for official support to figure it out? Yes. So if you’re handy, like to tinker, and want to spend additional time NOT buying gas, not mowing your lawn, not trimming, and not snowblowing your yard, this is the robot for you.

Yarbo Mower Pro has been great. Yarbo support has been great. No complaints so far.

The unit is built very sturdy and arrived in shipping boxes in custom-made foam padding that protected it very well. The app makes it easy to operate the unit manually and it is easy to program areas for automatic operation. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because modifying the maps is a little bit difficult but I do know that their development team is working on improvements. The customer support staff has been responsive to my needs. It's been mowing my yard for several months now and I enjoy the time that I now have free that I don't have to spend mowing the yard. It's also a cool toy that people just stopped and asked me what you got there and that's a fun factor that I hadn't counted on. It is very quiet and can pretty much mow anytime day or night as long as the grass is dry

I was kickstarter backer for Yarbo back in 2022, and received my first robot in October 2023. I have been snowblowing my driveway and mowing my lawn with Yarbo for almost 3 years now. The changes from day one to today have been phenomenal! And Yarbo has worked so well for me that when the newer version came out in late 2024, I bought another one. I only have a half acre of mowable lawn, but I have a 2 car wide driveway that runs about 100’ and opens up to a 6 car parking area - thats why I bought the second core! I decided to go with Yarbo because they were the only one with a modular system and the only one to offer autonomous snowblowing. I also liked the tank design and its shear size compared to what was available at the time. Snow removal was the main reason I invested in Yarbo. My plow truck was on its last leg and as it happened my lawn tractor decided it was going to crap out after I received my robot. So that said I have only mowed my lawn with Yarbo for the past 3 years! This will be my 4th winter relying on Yarbo to clear my driveway of snow. But I will throw in the caveat that I realize robots have their limitations. I live in New England and for the first 2 winters, they were relatively mild with the occasional 6”+ storm, and Yarbo did really well! It was not perfect, but it’s a robot and it’s the only autonomous robot on the market doing the job so I feel they deserve some slack for the imperfections. Also as in the case of this past winter my area got slammed with a 12”+ storm and two weeks later a full on Blizzard with over 30” falling. I again had realistic expectations of what the robot could and couldn’t do. It kept up the first few hours of the storm, but then the 2-3” per hour started falling and It was time for my little buddies to sit this one out. But here’s the thing - I had a backup plan in my Cub Cadet snowblower. The most important thing to understand with Yarbo and most any other robotic, they are not Plug & Play out of the box! There is the setup, and yes Yarbo does not have the easiest setup compared to some competitors. There is also an extended learning curve with ALL the possible settings and features, and to make them work for YOUR yard! Yarbo has also built an incredible community of users that are more than willing to help each other offering tips & suggestions for when a persons machine might not be performing as expected. And there is the Yarbo service team. I can honestly say that I haven’t had the problems with service that others point out. Yeah it can be annoying to have it take 12-24hours going back and forth via email, but I’ve never had an issue not fully resolved either by corrective software or full replacement of my core or module. Key thing again, this is all new tech and programming. None of the manufactures are running off the same platform - each one is different and each one has their own code. And I have yet to visit any of the manufactures facebook groups and NOT read about issues with software, firmware, or hardware. I’ve put my trust in Yarbo, and I don’t regret doing so in the 3 years I’ve been using it!

At first I blasted Yarbo online years ago because the app was complicated (which they have dramatically improved over three years) and I did not really know how to use it/adjust settings. This is definitely not set and forget, it is a robot that needs adjustments once it gets to your yard. Thankfully it works phenomenally once it is set up, you learn about how the features work, and then you get all the features dialed in. Three years later I haven't really thought of my yard work and simply maintain the robot (way quicker than my lawnmower) every couple of months. Besides ensuring things are greased/cleaned, I push a button and legit have the best looking grass in my neighborhood with perfect diamond striped lawn in a way only a robot can do.

The Yarbo is an amazing technology product with a team behind it that continues to improve the user experience. The device itself is massive, but that is needed to all the work it can be tasked with. Consider it a lightweight lawn tractor replacement. The Pro mower module is as good as a standard gas mower. It can clear overgrown lawns and does it with very satisfying stripes. It can tackle slopes I'd never attempt to mow with a push mower. I used to cut my yard with a 54" John Deere riding mower. I sold that and now only use the Yarbo. Technology: it's the best on the market. The only yard robot with so many cameras, remote control capabilities, and the most cutting customizations of anything I've seen. From anywhere in the world ou can drop in on the Yarbo mid progress and watch it cut with 360 degree camera coverage. Pause the work and go check out a corner of your yard or see if a package was delivered or trash was picked up. When done just hit resume. Frequent app updates push new features regularly. Reliability: I've run mine for a year and a half now and have performed zero maintenance. I probably should grease the tracks and sharpen the blades at the end of this season. If you get sticks in your yard it will occasionally get one jammed in the blades and you'll need to go out and yank it free. Half the time it's a dog toy i forgot to pick up. Set up: Fairly quick but attention to detail is crucial. This is a piece of high technology and if you are not confident I'd recommend buying through a reseller that can help with the installation. The GPS data center needs to have a very clear view of the sky, top of your roof is best. I initially tried to have it on the side of my house but that was not enough view of the sky and I had GPS signal issues. Follow the directions closely here. Mapping is intuitive and I'd recommend using the in app remote control so that you can ensure proper GPS signal. Enable the setting for it to go 30ft with a weak signal to ensure a map is created without GPS breaks. This will be especially important along boarders with very heavy tree cover. Support: Inevitably you'll need to reach out for support and I've had fairly quick responses. My issues were poor GPS signal (caused by my placement of the data center) and a battery charging software issue what was patched remotely in under 24hrs. There is a massive online community (facebook and reddit) and an in depth wiki (AI can tap into this and is generally my go to for questions). The product has undergone a lot of updates over the past year so I'd discount most prior negative reviews. Yarbo is a young and growing company but their responsiveness and support are big positives. For example, an IT researcher discovered a security vulnerability in the code allowing bad actors to take control of units. Very scary. But, the founder was super quick to step in, acknowledge fault, and push an update that eliminated the threat. No code is perfect so seeing this quick response, without blame shifting, was encouraging.

I was an early kickstarter backer for yarbo and chose to upgrade to the 2024 model when it came out. The company has been supportive the entire way and continually strives to improve the hardware and software based on user feedback. I have used the mower for 2 years. I have about 2.5 acres of mowable area. I am in the woods so have lots of large rock and root obstacles as well as steep hills. It tackles about 90% of the area saving me hours each week. I manually clean up some trouble areas, mostly weed whacking around obstacles. I hope to try the trimmer soon to try to reliably get up close to the trees. I have used the snowblower for 3 seasons in New England with a long steep driveway with a curve. Each year it has successfully handled all but 1 storm. When it struggles, my tractor run blower also struggles usually due to a difficult condition like wet heavy snow with some frozen layers. If you consider yarbo a tool that will save you a significant amount of time and, in my opinion is pretty fun and a conversation starter with your neighbors, then you will be very happy. It will get 80-90% of what you need done in most natural environments. I would also encourage buyers to be the type who are comfortable doing maintenance. Yarbo has lots of instructional videos and I find it easy to swap blades, treads between summer/winter and attachments. I plan to change some of my landscaping to make it more yarbo friendly and further reduce what I need to do manually.
