Xtrait Perfumery was born from a lifelong passion for high-concentration fragrances. What began with a single bottle, a gift from my mother, soon grew into a deep fascination with the world of niche perfumery. I found myself diving down the "rabbit hole" of artisanal craftsmanship and the evocative storytelling behind every scent. After years of traveling to New York City just to experience these rare olfactory works of art, I realized there was a gap to be filled right here in Central Connecticut. Knowing there were other enthusiasts seeking the same high-caliber experience, I founded Xtrait Perfumery to bring the world's most exceptional scents home.
Xtrait Perfumery (xtraitperfumery.com) has 51 customer reviews on The Fair Hearing, with an average rating of 5.0 out of 5.

The selection is superb. Both the instore and online experiences are seamless, friendly and accommodating and the delivery/service is quick and attentive. Huzzah!

Huzzah indeed, thank you Ed. Keeping the shop and the website feeling like one experience matters a lot to me, so I'm glad both came through for you. Looking forward to your next visit, in person or online. Kevin, Xtrait Perfumery
Super knowledgeable and helpful owner, Kevin. Such a cool place with fragrances you can't find in person anywhere close

Thank you, Zachary. Being able to actually smell niche fragrance in person is the whole reason I opened in West Hartford — most of what I carry you'd otherwise only ever find online. There's always something new on the shelf, so come back any time. — Kevin, Xtrait Perfumery
Very easy site to navigate. A very wide selection and a very generous team with incentives to purchase from them. Definitely a go to for me when purchasing fragrances.

Thank you, Cedric. Glad the site was easy to move around — I've put real work into making the catalog searchable rather than overwhelming. Appreciate you noticing the extras too, and I look forward to your next order. — Kevin, Xtrait Perfumery
Awesome guys with a lot of knowledge and a lot of cool product.

Thanks, Josh. Knowing the catalog properly is half the job — it's what lets me point someone to a bottle they'll actually wear rather than just whatever's popular. Glad you enjoyed the visit. — Kevin, Xtrait Perfumery
Kevin is super knowledgeable and has great suggestions. Shopped here multiple times from out of state and will shop here many more times to come.

Thank you, Cory — it genuinely means a lot that you keep making the trip from out of state. Recommendations are my favorite part of this. Tell me what you've been wearing lately next time you're in and we'll find the next one. — Kevin, Xtrait Perfumery
Ordered three bottles from them, Lyric, Radanfor, and Musc Sables, and the entire experience was fantastic. All three arrived in perfect condition and were packaged extremely well, with everything protected and secure. Shipping was also impressively fast, which made the whole purchase even better. You can tell they actually care about getting orders to customers safely and quickly. Everything about the transaction was smooth and professional. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and I’ll absolutely be ordering from them again. Easy 5 stars.

Thank you, Juan — Lyric, Radanfor and Musc Sables is a seriously good trio. Packing orders properly matters to me; a bottle that arrives damaged undoes everything else. Delighted all three landed safely, and I'll be here whenever you reorder. — Kevin, Xtrait Perfumery
The selection was fantastic, the purchasing process easy, and shipping was prompt, and everything was well wrapped, so there was no worry about the bottle being damaged. I would certainly shop here again, and would recommend them to friends.

Thank you, Amy. Careful wrapping is non-negotiable with glass, so I'm pleased it reached you exactly as it should have. And thank you for recommending me to friends — that's how a shop this size actually grows. — Kevin, Xtrait Perfumery
This place is great. I love going there with my grandkids who are very in to Colognes. They have SO many to choose from and owner is always ready to help you. He has excellent insite on all the fragrances helping guide you to what you are looking for.

Thank you — and I love that you bring your grandkids in. Helping people find their way through fragrance across two generations at once is easily the best part of running this place. See you all next time. — Kevin, Xtrait Perfumery
