I was fooled by this company. They seemed sincere.
At one point I must have been on their homepage whilst looking for publishers. Months later they contacted me. We started small: 1000$ for editing, getting my book on Amazon etc. They were really bad about editing but I continued to plough through it until a beautiful book was created. My project manager was good at reassuring by doubts. Then they said my book had potential. I took the big deal for advertisement and paid another 13999$ and they put my second book into the bargain. I have a 150% return in investment guarantee so I thought I am safe. Steve Harrision, my project manager, did not speak in an Indian accent and always appeared professional. He then suggested that I join Frankfurt Book Fair and we also set up a Distribution plan for my books. I paid for 2200 books to be distributed and I paid for merchandise for the fair. Another 16474$ in total. Only then they started ghosting me. First, they said Steve was sick. They gave me phone numbers to pacify me but the phone number never work. I have sent a consumer report to the Federal Trade Commission and I made a complaint at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. It is very easy to do the consumer report. Just google FTC. It would be very helpful if more people reported this business.
