Great service, not only great corrections, but explanations of why the changes were made along with great suggestions and even some kind words.

Thank you for using our services and giving us a positive review! Please do consider us for any needed editing and proofreading work in the future.
Paid $16 for a 400 word document and not a single edit was made. The “revised” copy I got back after 5 days was identical to the one I sent in the first place. I understand if no editing was required but any form of communication would be helpful (a footnote stating that no editing was required, etc) something to indicate that the paper has actually been read through.

Dear Taylor, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were not fully satisfied with your experience with our editing services. In reviewing your edited document (a CV) with a total wordcount of around 380 words, we have found that the editor did make over 20 revisions and numerous formatting changes, in addition to leaving 16 marginal comments explaining the revisions and suggesting further ways to improve your writing. While we try to ensure satisfaction on all of our edited documents, CVs and resumes can present an issue due to the differing demands of authors (some want extensive revision and many vocabulary changes, while others only want formatting and grammar issues fixed) and the quality of the original submitted work. In the case of your document, your vocabulary terms--such as power verbs in the bulleted sections--were quite strong and your sentences contained VERY few grammar and punctuation errors. Therefore, if an editor were to change these already strong terms and phrases, it would be somewhat arbitrary and most clients would probably object to their original work being changed for no good reason. Leaving detailed instructions for these documents in particular (CVs and resumes) can be helpful in letting the editor know exactly what you want them to look at and revise. We do hope you understand the difficulty of this particular issue and will consider amending your review accordingly. Please contact us directly if you have any further questions or concerns.
Chris was very helpful and pointed out why he made the following changes. I appreciated his overall review of my statement as well. He greatly improved the flow and choice of words for my statement of purpose.

Thank you very much for using our editing services! We will let Chris know that his edits enhanced your writing and that you were satisfied with his work.
My reviewer was so bad. She did the most basic grammar checks and didn’t make my essay even sound better. I legit got my parents to help me edit it and it sounded better than the crappy job of my editor on wordvice.

We are sorry that you were not satisfied with our editing services. Our admissions essay editors ultimately apply their own subjective approach to style and expressions, and although your particular editor does have a perfect client review record and has certainly applied more than basic grammar revisions (including rewriting several sentences and substituting more than 35 vocabulary terms), not all clients will be satisfied with the approach of their editors. We invite you to contact us directly and see what we can do to improve your experience with Wordvice. We do thank you for using our services and leaving your feedback for us.
