After a year on the app and initially jumping through hoops to submit my impressive resume, pictures, descripitons, and dog-handling history, I finally pulled the plug. Wag billed a $50 application fee, and then they push to have you join "premium" on top of it. Early on, notifications would come through for dog walking. Every time I accepted a job, a message would pop up with "oops, offer a lower price." I entertained the system several times by putting in a lower bid. Still nothing. Who is going to drive over 2 miles and do a 1/2 hour walk for $7 or less?! I've now gone 4 months solid with zero notifications, and I live in a city with more dogs than humans, as well as tons of out-of-towners that bring their dogs on vacation. Wag is a joke and a rip off with insane commission charges. Avoid it.

We truly feel so lucky to have found Mariah through this app! She is everything you could hope for in a caregiver. Kind, patient, attentive, and incredibly reliable. From the moment she stepped in, we felt completely at ease knowing our babies were in such loving hands. Mariah went above and beyond during her time with them, making sure they were not only cared for but genuinely happy and comfortable. It is clear she has a natural connection with animals. Our dogs absolutely adore her, and that says everything. If you are looking for someone who will treat your pets like her own, Mariah is the one. We cannot recommend her enough! 🐾💛

Thank you for the wonderful review, Dennis and Rachel! We know it takes a lot of trust to have someone care for dogs with unique care and routines—especially a senior pup with back problems—so it means a lot to us that Wag! could help match you with exactly the right Caregivers for your dogs’ needs. We appreciate your recommendation, and please give both pups an extra scratch from us! We look forward to continuing to support your family with your pet care needs.
I love the dog walker. (Esther) She was very nice. She and Lucy got along very well. I'm just sad that Lucy has gotten a new home. Better for her,now she has alot of land to run on. I was very impressed with Wag and would use them again and recommend them to other people.

Thank you for your wonderful review, Sandra! We’re so happy to hear Esther was so kind and that she and Lucy truly bonded on their walks together. We understand it can be bittersweet to say goodbye—even when it’s to a new home. Lucy is lucky to have had you caring for her, and it’s great to know she now has lots of land to run on and explore. We appreciate your kind words about Wag!, and thank you for your recommendation—we’ll be here anytime you need us.
When I was in college almost 10 years ago, I was a Wag walker. For some reason I was nervous signing up as a pet parent but it’s been amazing.

Thank you for your wonderful review, Madison! We love that you were part of the Wag! community as a walker, and we’re so glad taking the leap to join as a pet parent has been such a positive experience. We appreciate you choosing Wag! for your own pet care and look forward to continuing to support you and your pet whenever you need us.
The issue is with their app. First time using and my dogwalker canceled. Unfortunately I can't see the message because if they cancel, regardless if they leave a message, you can't see it because it's gone. So at this point, this is a company that shouldn't be trusted if a real emergency happens. Use at your own risk.
