We were on a bit of a tight timeline to get two Bolivian visas and also had a couple of issues that made the process a little problematic / out of the norm. A big advantage is that he has contacts physically at the embassy locations (LA in our case) so he could get up to date status info in the middle of the process - something we would not be able to do.
