Thank you for your kind words and your 5 star review! We’re really glad you had a great time and hope to welcome you back again soon. The Venture Ashore Team
I'd just like to share that we had a fantastic trip with Venture Ashore on 28th March. My wife and I were very pleasantly surprised to find that we had a private SUV for the duration of the trip to Ephesus. Our tour guide was called Pinaar and she was highly trained and thoroughly pleasant throughout. She went to painstaking lengths to make sure that we had the best experience possible and that we were fully informed on every detail. Pinaar was very friendly and helpful. We had such a lovely time with her, that day. I'm sure that was enhanced because we were on a trip that was tailored just for us. I will certainly highly recommend Venture Ashore in future. That was the best sort of excursion because of the exclusivity and because of the wonderful guide we had. Thank you so much, Pinaar, and thank you to Venture Assure. Regards, Marcus and Patricia James

Dear Marcus and Patricia, Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. We’re delighted to hear that your trip to Ephesus was such a memorable experience. It’s especially great to know that the private SUV and tailored nature of the excursion made your day feel even more special. We’re very proud of our guides, and your kind words about Pinaar will mean a lot to her, she truly goes above and beyond to ensure every guest has an enriching and enjoyable visit. We’re thrilled that you felt so well looked after and that the experience stood out as one of your best excursions. Your recommendation means a great deal to us. We hope to welcome you again on another adventure in the future! Warm regards, The Venture Ashore Team
Olivia really took care of my group of veterans. Each excursion was perfect for our group. The one that really stood out was out Ruins tour in Costa Maya. One of my clients was really worried about "extra shopping" stops along the way. That never happened and my clients had a great time. All the excursions were with the best quality of service. Will use again

Thank you so much for your kind words, Olivia will be delighted! We are especially glad to hear that the Costa Maya ruins tour stood out and that everything met your expectations, particularly avoiding those unwanted shopping stops. We always aim to create seamless, high-quality experiences tailored to each group, so it means a lot to know your clients had such a great time. Our groups team and Olivia would be absolutely delighted to assist you again in the future. Thank you for trusting us with your group’s excursions!
Our tour director was fantastic and the tour was informative. The rubs and chicken from captain”s was delicious. We especially liked the Topper’s Rum Distillery tour and got to meet Topper himself. The only thing that we did not get that was on the description was the two alcoholic drinks at Captain’s Ribs & Chicken. I had a few clients ask me about that and we never could get an answer from the server. Overall a great experience!!

We’re delighted to hear that you had a great experience overall and that you enjoyed the tour. It’s wonderful to know your tour director made such a positive impression, and that you particularly enjoyed the visit to Topper’s Rum Distillery, meeting Topper himself is certainly a memorable highlight! We’re also pleased that you enjoyed the food at Captain’s Ribs and Chicken. We will be raising this with our local partners to ensure that inclusions are communicated clearly and delivered as advertised moving forward. Thank you again for your valuable feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future.
The tour in Barbados was nothing as described. I complained at the time and was issued an immediate refund. The company contacted the tour company while we were on the tour who promptly left us on the beach and didn’t return to take us back to the ship. Despite a “return to ship guarantee” Venture Assure are refusing to pay the 30 dollar taxi fare back to the ship. It certainly would not have been cheaper for them to fly us to the next island, which makes me wonder who regulates them and wether the return to ship guarantee is genuine.

Dear S Beech, Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear that parts of your experience in Barbados didn’t meet expectations. As noted, we issued a full refund at the time of your complaint, as we always aim to resolve concerns as quickly as possible. We would also like to clarify that the tour driver did return to the agreed meeting point and was waiting to collect you. However, we understand that you had already arranged a taxi back to the port at approximately 2:15pm, ahead of your ship’s 5:00pm departure. The port is located around 7 minutes from the beach club, allowing ample time to return comfortably. Our Return to Ship Guarantee is designed to protect guests in the unlikely event that a delay on tour results in a missed departure. While this situation did not fall within those terms, we would like to reassure you that we have never had a guest miss their cruise as a result of one of our tours. We do, however, take your feedback seriously and are reviewing this with our local partner to ensure service standards are maintained.
I had an overwhelmingly fantastic experience with Venture Ashore and recommend them highly! From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism, care, and impressive attention to detail. The staff truly stood out—they were knowledgeable, helpful, and incredibly responsive throughout the entire process. Any questions I had were answered promptly, and I always felt well-supported. A special mention to Olivia, who made the booking process completely seamless and stress-free. Her efficiency and clear communication set the tone for what turned out to be an exceptional experience. The guides were absolutely outstanding. They were not only highly knowledgeable but also engaging and personable, making each tour both informative and genuinely enjoyable. You could tell they were passionate about what they do, which made a big difference in the overall experience. Everything was extremely well-organized, especially the transportation and tour arrangements. Timing was smooth, logistics were handled flawlessly, and I never once felt rushed or confused. It’s clear that Venture Ashore takes pride in delivering a well-executed and efficient service. Another major highlight was the pricing—Venture Ashore’s excursions were significantly more reasonable than those offered by the cruise lines, without sacrificing quality in any way. It felt like exceptional value for such a high level of service. Overall, this was a top-tier experience, and I will absolutely be booking with Venture Ashore again for future excursions. If you’re looking for a reliable, organized, and high-quality shore excursion company, this is the one to choose.

We booked 2 excursions through Venture Ashore 6 months before our cruise. They cancelled both excursions 3 weeks before the cruise with no explanation. They are still selling both excursions for the dates we had booked. We were left scrambling for new excursions just a few weeks before our cruise. I would not recommend Venture Ashore to anyone.

Response from Venture Ashore· Mar 10, 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience. Unfortunately, on rare occasions excursions must be cancelled when the minimum number of participants required to operate the tour is not met. This was the reason your tours were cancelled. While we understand how frustrating this can be, particularly when you have booked well in advance, the decision is made only when it becomes clear that the tour cannot operate as planned. Whenever this situation occurs, our team always does its best to assist guests by offering alternative excursions or similar options where available. In your case, alternative tours were suggested, although we understand you chose not to take up those options. We truly regret any inconvenience this situation caused while you were preparing for your cruise. Our goal is always to provide a positive experience for our guests, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
