I have tried to get help, or even a call back from this company because of beeping that does not quit even after hitting bypass buttons. After 4 calls I finally got someone who could get someone out to help in a week or so! Not helpful at all! I cannot wait to get this company out of my house!

I think the owner is in Florida collecting his dividend check, his son took over the business and doesn't care because his dad made him rich without having to work. Stay away from this company. They're a dinosaur.

I'm a tenant at a house with vector security... I've been trying to get the account under my name for weeks now and change the passcode still no help. I've send in all the paperworks with all the signatures. I've been calling and leaving voicemails and not even a single call back. I'm getting really frustrated, my family moved in this new house for weeks now and I'm just trying to setup my account online and CHANGE the PASSCODE .... How am I suppose to know that my house is secure and safe if I'm still using the previous owners passcode.... Just BAD customer services.

I have been a Vector customer for years. Around March of 2015 I upgraded my system. Instead of upgrading my current account they set up a new account. They require automatic withdrawal from my bank account. After several months I realized they were billing me for both accounts. I called and was told they were closing the old account and the over billed amount would be credited to my new account. A couple of months later I received a statement that said I was past due and would be turned over to a collection agency. I called and was told to disregard this statement that the old account had been closed. Our phone app on our phone recently stopped working and our camera stopped working. We are also having problems with out keypad door lock. I called again and received help getting the app back on our phones and online. I was told this had happened because of our old account being closed. This does not make any sense because this account should have been closed months ago. I was told to make a service appointment to get our camera and lock fixed which I have done. We now receive an email every time our alarm is set or disabled which I do not want to get. In the past we received text messages which is what I want to receive. The person at Vector walked me through changing this online but I am still only receiving emails. I regret upgrading with Vector and not just waiting for my contract to expire and going with another company.

When I called to ask to have 2 new AA-size 3.6 volt batteries for a glass breakage sensor mailed to me I was told that Vector did not mail out replacement batteries, that obtaining these batteries would require a $100+ service call, plus the cost of the batteries. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told that none was available. The promised call-back from a supervisor never materialized. I obtained the identical replacement batteries from batteries.com for $7.00 each plus a nominal shipping charge. Replacing them was no more complicated than replacing the battery for a smoke detector. I am considering canceling Vector as my service provider, as its approach to this aspect of its service is a blatant rip-off.

My home was invaded and due to the motion sensor not working, I was never contacted. They said the system was armed stay and not away. I standing here with it armed away , right now and there's no siren whatsoever.

I felt that I was paying a premium for service after the sale. I even purchased a monthly maintenance contract. So for every service I needed is covered by the contract. Today I relocated the router in the house. It would only take 15 - 30 minutes max to shorten the cable and put a new end cap. Can't get to me for 2 weeks??? I ask why do I want to continue to do business with this kind of service?

We have had Vector security for SIX years... They have never come out to service the system like they promised. We decided it was time to let them go when we removed one of the sensors from the door and they called us an ENTIRE YEAR later to let us know the sensor wasn't working properly. We called to cancel and were given three different options. Copied straight from the e-mail: Two options: 1. upgrade panel to a 2GIG with MVS interactive 2 sensors free installation same price 41.19 3 year term 2. keep the same panel lower the rate to 36.00 monthly free smoke detector with free installation 3 year term 3. give you 3 months of free services a month to month contract ( you can cancel at any time with a 30 day notice). We decided to go with the last one, but not wait the three free months. We wanted to cancel ASAP so we can get a system from a different company. When we called to get the paper work they decided to tell us "well, since you never signed your month to month plan, you have to pay us for a year" No. We were never told we were put on a month to month contract and we have paid every single month for six years. We were JUST told we could have three months free and then cancel and now when we tell you to cancel it you are going to try and tell us we owe you a year?? The customer service representative was extremely rude and eventually decided that we could cancel our services. We faxed all of the paper work to have our account canceled and a month later the still took our monthly payment out of our account! I have never been so disgusted with a company before. I heard horrible things about Vector before we had our system installed but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt.... horrible mistake. Do yourself a favor, go with a different company.
