Terrible. Delayed repairs and looked for any reason to deny repair. Two weeks my car has been at the dealership, no rental car and refusal to approve what the dealership says should be covered. Purchased “Total plus coverage” which is one step below their highest price package. Beyond disappointing for over 5k cost for coverage. I will be reporting to BBB and anywhere else I can.

I purchased a United Car Care Platinum Warranty for $5,500 to protect my daughter’s 2012 Jeep Wrangler against major mechanical failures. The vehicle is now experiencing engine failure, with carbon buildup clearly a symptom of piston ring breakdown — not the cause.Despite complete maintenance records and ASE‑certified diagnostics, United Car Care has refused coverage, forcing us through endless hoops while searching for a loophole to deny responsibility. This is exactly the type of catastrophic repair the Platinum Warranty was sold to cover.Families should not have to fight this hard to receive the protection they paid for. I am documenting this case for regulators and consumer protection agencies, and I urge United Car Care to honor their contractual obligations.Transparency and accountability matter. Warranty companies should stand by their promises! We have jumped through a lot of hoops in an honest way, and they keep coming up with more hoops in their attempts to get out of the contract through plausible loopholes. See below. I’m extremely disappointed with United Car Care. I purchased their extended warranty expecting peace of mind, but when my vehicle’s gas tank was damaged and needed replacement, they flat-out denied the claim. Their reasoning? “The damage wasn’t covered because it was caused by the failed straps—and those straps aren't included in the warranty Seriously? A damaged fuel tank is a major component, and the repair wasn't due to neglect or wear and tear—it was a legitimate issue. I called their customer service hoping for some clarity or support but got the runaround instead. The reps were dismissive and unhelpful, and I was left footing a repair bill of over $1,000. What's the point of paying for a warranty if it doesn’t actually cover critical repairs? If you're considering United Car Care for extended warranty coverage. Read the fine print, because they will absolutely find any loophole to deny your claim when you need them most. I feel misled and ripped off, it’s just not worth the headache for what ends up being zero real coverage. Save your money and avoid the frustration.

I contacted the company regarding a covered car repair (cracked control arm bushings). They told me to take the vehicle to the dealership service center for inspection and repair. The dealership service center informed me they do not communicate with third party warranty companies (including United Car Care) but would provide an estimate with hours and parts cost. United Car Care then refused to authorize the repair unless the dealership service center called them and refused to accept the written estimate. I have spent hours going back and forth between the dealership service center and United Car Care but neither have agreed to contact the other and I do not feel United Car Care feels any responsibility to assist me despite my having purchased the United Car Care extended warranty. I feel buying the United Car Care extended warranty was a mistake and I would strongly discourage anyone from buying an extended warranty from United Care Care.

This place is listed as less than 1.5 stars on BBB, so how is it so skewed here? Company is a scam. Refusing to cover components specifically listed in the covered items section. You cant call them, it just puts you in a never ending that works down to 1 minute left, then goes back to 20+, for 3 HOURS!!! DO NOT purchase from these guys. Its just another fly by night company making big promises and not following through.

United car care had bayview cadillac break down my engine 4 different times on 4 different inspections just to deny claim.United car care said the reason to deny claim was that a bolt was found in cylinder 6(reason to get out the claim in my view). After going back and forth Kevin agreed to pay 75% of claim . Now my escalade is sitting at the dealership with a $4973 bill.The situation is a nightmare I purchased the warranty for $5000 so problems like this i wouldn't have to worry about when i brought the escalade in jun 2022 from Hgreg with 75k miles and the motor failed at 114k miles which is still under extended warranty. Been without my Escalade since 2/27/24 as of now its 8/01/24. The escalade is the family vehicle I NEED IT BACK! I will file a complaint with the department of insurance if i can't get a resolution. Last 6 of VIN 151717

Utterly unprofessional, if I could give -037 stars I would. Absolutely disappointing and devastating. Horrible customer service, every person I talked to had a massive attitude. People hung up on me. Not covering the issues even though I have platinum coverage. This took a major poll on my mental health and completely ruined my life.

Purchased one of the most expensive plans. One lower than the best. I believe platinum. Head gasket blew and they won’t cover it. They want me to pay more than have the cost of 5500…. Ryan was horribly rude and even hung up on me.
