United Ag & TurfReviews of unitedagandturf.com

I’m writing this review for the United Ag in Abilene Texas. I’ll buy a lot of stuff from them due Warren, the store manager is a great guy. I found out Warren is leaving this week. That’s gonna be sad because he changed that store for the better. I hope somebody from the corporate office reads this review. They have a lady there named Shelby who trained under Warren. She is a great individual nice honest and she protects her customers so hopefully they make her the new store manager where I can continue to do business there other people that I know. So corporate office if you read this, please give Shelby a chance of being that store manager. You will be happy. I guarantee you. I’m one of your better customers over the years and Shelby and Warren are top-notch.

Zero Inspection, Zero Accountability: Buyer Beware. We took delivery of a John Deere 3039R from this dealership on June 26th, 2026. In the 41 days since delivery, we only put 8 light hours on the meter doing minor driveway maintenance. The dealership delivered this tractor completely unchecked and unready for operational use. It was delivered dangerously low on fluid, requiring a full gallon of hydraulic fluid immediately. The loader hoses were delivered hanging down with excessive slack. As buyers new to John Deere compact models, we trusted that Rick and his delivery crew were professionals who wouldn’t drop off a machine with immediate safety hazards. We assumed the hose slack was part of the factory design. That trust was a mistake. Yesterday, the front tire caught those improperly secured hoses, ripping off the hydraulic lines and bending the manifold. Instead of taking responsibility for dropping off an uninspected, incorrectly configured machine, the dealership chose to blame us. Management claimed it was "user error" and that we should have caught their sloppy setup during our own "walk-around." Rick simply stated it was "out of his hands." They expect the customer to perform the safety and maintenance inspections that their own pre-delivery team completely skipped. They have offered zero assistance, zero consolation, and zero help to repair the damage caused by their own delivery negligence. If you buy from Rick and this team, expect to do their mechanics' jobs for them before you start the engine.

13 years ago we purchased a new Gator XUV 550 from a John Deere dealer in St Lawrence County NY. The Gator, from new, had to be shut off each time we tried to shift from forward to reverse and vice versa. We took it back to the dealer twice, once under warranty and once under our cost. The problem never was fixed at that dealer. The Gator does not have a lot of hours so when the shift cable broke recently, we wanted it fixed correctly so we called the Malone John Deere dealer, United Ag and Turf. We couldn’t be any happier that we chose United Ag and Turf in Malone, NY, They listened to what i described as the problem, they picked up the machine at the time they said they would, they called me after diagnosing the problem and gave us an estimate, they called when the work was completed and delivered the Gator at the time promised. The team at Malone fixed the original problem and we are very pleased!

Pre purchase experience always good, but post customer service always sucks. Took a morning off so that Lancaster MA branch could deliver my new S240. I had to call in the morning to confirm they were coming as I received no email or text confirmation. Was told they would be here before noon. Called at 11:50 am and was told that the delivery guy was tied up at a customer call and wouldn’t be able to deliver till sometime that afternoon. I complained and found out that the S240 hadn’t even left the Lancaster depot. Now I have to take a whole vacation day just for a S240 to be delivered 15 miles.

1:At a given location .....why are employees allowed to park in front of the store taking up vauable parking plenty of parking for them in the back or side of the building .... the remodeling has slowed down or completed now 2: the decision to park the two monitors head high to a customer which cannot even make contact with the customer ......poor decision layout of the the available counter top area.... they act like they hide ...?? 3: parts guys spent too much time on personal phone soon as a customer leaves...... mere observation ( Former HR MGR ) major corporation....... old habits are hard to dismiss......

Update to my April 22nd review. Got a message from Jason, Business Operations Manager-Territory 6, and he wanted to investigate my experience and work to correct it. We discussed the pricing model, work efforts, and customer focus. After an internal review and a learning session with his team, Jason agreed to refund the tank-cleaning portion of my invoice. Great effort to win me back as a customer and provide a learning opportunity for his team in Mineola. Thanks, Jason for your approach, professionalism, and results. April 22,2026 Took my Z355 zero turn mower in for a $289.00 tune up special. 1 and 1/2 weeks later got an estimate for $1450.00!! Tech stated there was debris in the carburator and in the fuel tank and it needed a brand new carburator. I asked them to just clean the carb and they stated they don't do that?!?!? What kind of shop won't do basic maintenance? They stated it takes longer to clean than to put on a new one for $1100?!? I asked them to clean the fuel tank and they still charged me $500 just for that! Complete bullshit I say. Took it to Daniels Best Buy in Greenville and they cleaned the carb for $150 and it runs perfectly. Avoid United Ag and Turf at all cost, or cost you it will!! I will give Brian the tech at UAT props (or it would have been one star rating) as he said if it was up to him he would clean it, but company policy is NOT to help the customer do that per the Service Manager Cody. Guarantee I will never to business with them again, ever!

I'm a disabled Veteran who purchased a New John Deere tractor & snowblower attachment from the Plainfield Dealer . After using it for just a couple of hours it broke down..of course during the biggest snowstorm. (Apparently the rocker arm adjuster became lose and bent the pushrod and broke the rocker arm assembly) So I had to pay $125.00 to have the driveway cleared. They picked it up , repaired it and returned it in 2 1/2 weeks. So I asked for a little compensation ( anything! ..a free weight, a belt or a little something) to offset the cost of clearing driveway and the inconvenience of not having it during crucial winter times. The answer I got was " Well we fixed it under warranty, WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT? " Is this what you call customer service? I just bought a NEW MACHINE , it lasted a few hours before breaking down and that's the answer I get? I will share this to all who want to know the quality of care you provide after the sale!

Went to United Ag and Turf twice (August 2025, December 2025) to try to buy a 2 Series John Deere. Spoke to two different salespeople for a quote. They both promised to email a quote. Zero response. Maybe the problem is the salespeople, maybe it is the dealership, maybe it is UAT, but they have been an absolute waste of my time.
