Hi, we’re sorry to hear about the difficulties you’ve experienced with both devices. The slow performance, app connection issue, and inability to share files with your Mac are not the experience we want you to have. We’d like to look into the setup and determine whether the two devices are causing a network or app conflict. Please contact us at [email protected] with your order number and the email address used for the app. Our support team will help troubleshoot the connection and Mac file-sharing issues, and we can also provide the relevant user manuals and setup instructions. If you have already contacted us, please share your ticket number so we can locate the case and follow up as quickly as possible. Best regards, UnifyDrive Support Team

Hi Michael Jantz, Thank you for your detailed review. We're sorry the setup experience didn't go smoothly — the documentation, firmware update instability, and hardware assembly instructions are all areas we're actively working to improve. Regarding your support tickets: our records show responses were sent, but we understand they may not have reached you — emails can sometimes end up in spam folders. Either way, the fact that you didn't receive timely help is something we take responsibility for. Please reach out again at [email protected] or reply to your original ticket thread, and we'll make sure you're taken care of as a priority. We hope the UP6 performs well on your project next week — and we'd genuinely like the chance to make this experience better for you. — The UnifyDrive Team

Dear sheridan pennell, We are truly sorry for our silence. We completely understand how stressful and frustrating it must have been to feel ignored while waiting for such a large amount. We want to confirm that your full refund of £1200 has already successfully arrived in your account. While we failed to reply to your emails promptly, please know we were actively processing your cancellation in the background. It was our fault for making you worry. If you need the official refund receipt or anything else, we are here for you at [email protected]. We deeply apologize again for the poor experience.

Thank you for supporting UT2 through Kickstarter. We understand how important reliability is in a backup device, and we’re sorry that the experience you described, including the prolonged support exchange without a resolution, has undermined your confidence in the product. We would like to review the SSD installation advice, the USB port issues you reported, and your previous support correspondence in detail. If the matter remains unresolved, please forward the existing email thread to [email protected] with “UT2 — Unresolved Support Case” in the subject line and include your order or backer number. This will help us trace the case and determine the appropriate next steps without asking you to explain everything again. Thank you for your candid feedback. We’re sorry for the frustration this experience has caused.
