Tim's ToastersReviews of timstoasters.com

I cannot begin to express how impressed I am with Tim's Toasters. Everything from marketing touches like a personalized Sunbeam box complete with vintage ads to the pride of craftsmanship invested in the restoration process reflects unsurpassed exceptionalism. Tim was kind enough to custom color a Vista model for me in a very specific shade of 50's turquoise, and he spent painstaking hours making sure the match was exact and communicating with me at every stage. Now I not only have a stunning vintage appliance that makes the best toast I've had since Mom made toast in her Sunbeam, but I also have a one-of-a-kind display piece that steals the midcentury spotlight in the kitchen. Thank you, Tim.

My husband was still in mourning over the loss of a Sunbeam Vista toaster we had years ago. After many years it had not toasted evenly anymore. We did not know about Tim or that it could be repaired. We came across Tim’s add and after contacting him, we were convinced he was very knowledgeable. We ordered a Vista VT-40. It came well packaged and looked as though it came new from the factory….only better. It now had a 3 prong cord. I first read the instructions which were very helpful. I strongly recommend always reading instructions! I adjusted mine to slightly lighter than center and the toast was beautiful. My husband repeatedly says how he loves our new toaster. Tim kept in touch with pictures of the progress. He is a very kind man and made the whole process a pleasure. I think I will close now and go have a piece of toast with butter and orange marmalade. Yum!

Once upon a time, a newly married couple received a wedding gift; a 1954 marvel of modern design and function in the form of a Sunbeam Radiant Control T20-B toaster! My husband inherited the immaculately maintained toaster and our youngest son, a college bound engineering student, fell in love with it. This is where Tim's Toasters enters the story...through a series of prompt, courteous and informative e-mails, we were able to purchase the exact same model - in incredible condition and updated to today's electrical safety standards - for him. It arrived in a wonderful personalized box in time to be the "hit" of the graduation party! We can't say enough good things about Tim, who explained exactly how each toaster is meticulously cleaned, lovingly re-constructed, and tested before being sent to its new "forever home". He's become a friend and we're hoping, one day, to have the pleasure of a face-to-face with him, Bart and Darwin!

I wish to thank Tim for his quick assistance to a minor glitch with my T20 toaster. It required his expert touch to make all well again, and he then surprised me with the addition of a special cord cover that he kindly supplied. It was fast and immediate service, and much appreciated. Good health to you and yours, Tim. Cheers, Bill Greig Nova Scotia, Canada

Mr. Tim's company did an outstanding job in every way that he could've. I'll run through the list. At all moments he showed excellent communications, service, restoration, packaging, and pricing. I'm willing to pay more to know the job is being done correctly. In world where most business do it good enough, to find a business that takes no short cuts is rare. If you choose to have your toaster restored by Tim's Toasters sleep well knowing you'll not be dissatisfied. David R.

I can’t begin to express how pleased I am with the service and communication from Tim. My toaster looks like new, and even better, *works* like new! Tim is a true craftsman who clearly loves and enjoys what he does, and it shows in his work. I got loads of photos and updates all along the way, and he kept in touch throughout the process. I wish all service/repair people had Tim’s ethics and dedication to his craft. If you have one of these wonderful old toasters that needs a tune up and good cleaning- send it to Tim. You will not be sorry you did. Thanks Tim!

Our toaster is a complete game change! From the first toast we were in love. It doesn’t matter if the bread is frozen or room temp, it is perfectly toasted EVERY SINGLE TIME. Tim did such a fantastic job restoring this beauty. It’s obvious the amount of time and care he put into making the toaster absolutely perfect. We loved the little touches he included and would absolutely trust Tim to provide another outstanding toaster in the future! Great quality and delivery was so fast!

I ordered a Sunbeam T-20 from eBay for my boyfriend's birthday and Tim did such an impeccable job with the toaster. My boyfriend has wanted one of these for a very long time and there aren't enough words to describe the joy on his face when he opened the box and saw the toaster for the first. Tim was extremely communicative about the toaster throughout after testing how it worked and the attention that he paid to it how stunning it looked. It looked brand new when we opened it and it worked amazingly well as advertised. It's clear how much love and care Tim puts into these Sunbeam toasters and I cannot recommend getting a Sunbeam from him enough.
