I absolutely love my new handbag
I absolutely love my new handbag! I chose the dark forest green bag with the owl and the saying, “I not only read books, I write them,” personalized with my name. The color is beautiful, the leather feels wonderful, and the small size turned out to be exactly what I needed. It fits everything I normally carry without being too large, and I especially love having the crossbody strap. What really made this purchase special, though, was the customer service and their willingness to work with me on accessibility. I’m blind and use a screen reader, and when I first visited the website, some of the product images didn’t have enough descriptive alt text for me to know things like the color of a bag or exactly what was pictured on it. I reached out with some questions and accessibility suggestions, and Rosalie from Customer Care was wonderful. She listened to my feedback, communicated with me several times, answered my questions about the colors and sizes, and helped me figure out which size would work best for what I carry. I never felt like I was bothering anyone or asking too many questions. She genuinely wanted to help, and the company was open to learning how they could make the shopping experience better. That matters enormously to me. Accessibility means I can shop independently and know what I’m spending my money on, and businesses that are willing to listen and collaborate earn my loyalty. The Note Bags did exactly that. I did have one small issue when the bag arrived: the hardware attaching the crossbody strap isn’t staying securely connected to the purse and keeps popping loose. I’ve already contacted them about getting a replacement strap, and based on how helpful they’ve been throughout this entire experience, I feel very comfortable giving them the opportunity to make it right. I love my bag, I love that it reflects both my love of books and writing, and I especially appreciate the people behind the company. Thank you to Rosalie and The Note Bags for listening to a blind customer, taking accessibility seriously, and making me feel genuinely welcome shopping with you. I will happily shop here again.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful story, Laura. This is one of the most meaningful reviews we've ever received, and we want to honor it with the response it deserves. We're so glad your dark forest green owl bag turned out to be exactly what you needed – the color, the leather, the small size that fits everything without being too much, and that crossbody strap for hands-free carrying. And the saying you chose – "I not only read books, I write them" – is such a perfect reflection of who you are. That's exactly what personalization should do: say something true. Rosalie will be so proud to read this. What you've described – reaching out with accessibility questions and suggestions, and being met with someone who listened, communicated, and genuinely wanted to help — that's the standard we hold ourselves to, but hearing it confirmed through your experience means more than we can say. You were never a bother. You were the reason we're better now. Your feedback about alt text and the shopping experience is actively making our website more accessible for every customer who comes after you, and we're grateful you trusted us enough to share it. Regarding the crossbody strap hardware – we're glad you've already reached out, and our team will absolutely make that right for you. You shouldn't have to worry about something popping loose on a bag you love this much. Thank you for choosing TheNoteBags, Laura – and for making us a better company in the process. We can't wait to welcome you back. 📖
