The Monitoring CenterReviews of themonitoringcenter.com

When the technician showed up, I was charged for more than what I was quoted. Be aware of hidden charges.

The company overall is great. The staff are friendly and helpful. The cost of the system and monitoring is affordable. I was very happy with everything up until I got charged. I asked, twice, for the 6 month payment plan. And was under the impression that I was only going to be billed a certain amount. Then I get a notification that my credit balance is close to the limit (under $100) which I thought was odd. They ended up charging me for the whole amount all at once. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but with Christmas around the corner, and my house had just gotten robbed a couple weeks prior, I wasn't expecting to be spending that much all at once. I called to see if it could be rectified, the lady on the phone was very nice and understanding. Let me know that I would have my money by the end of the week. It's been 10 days now and still nothing. Terrible.

The system was installed and I received very little instruction on how it all worked. One of the sensors fell off the wall in the basement four days later and triggered the alarm. The second technician, Gideon, checked all sensors and gave me a detailed tutorial on the system and iPhone app. He was great! Also, Enzo wasn't informed of two appointment reschedules.

They did not caulk the hole they left in our wall when they had to push the wire through the wall to the basement. Also I don’t have room on my cellphone for your app.. useless to me now

Ordered new equipment, uses old battery Did not explain how to use the system completel.

Installation date what was very far up somehow like six weeks they had an opening the following day and was done but one part was missing and again it was scheduled for 4 weeks to return back to bring the part and program it. This is one. The other issue when calling technical support, it takes a long time to stay on the phone, waiting for an answer, and that happened quite few times since I was new to this system and needed help.

One of my windows was damaged No follow up was done Also the plug was not installed where I requested

While the reaction speed to getting me converted from my prior (now defunct) provider was very good, the attention to detail was not. The upshot was an annoying series of calls from TMC that my alarm testing was not working. The TMC people, from the installer on, were all very pleasant to deal with ... but of varying degrees of competence. The first person that dealt with this test failure issued a slew of codes for me to enter on the keypad ... but the result was useless: the problem remained. Finally, the third person to get involved saw the issue (time had not been properly set) and implemented a fix via a whole new slew of codes for me to enter. Waiting to see if this now stops the phone calls and code-entry exercises. Like I said, quick response, nice folks, but sloppiness resulting in a lot of annoying subsequent activity.
