About The Happy PharmD
The Happy PharmD: We get pharmacists jobs they love. The Happy PharmD is a career coaching company dedicated to helping pharmacists build fulfilling, sustainable careers in pharmacy and beyond. Founded by Alex Barker, PharmD, the company was created after Alex experienced firsthand the burnout, frustration, and uncertainty that many pharmacists face in today’s job market. Instead of accepting the status quo, he set out to create a better path.Since launching in 2017, The Happy PharmD has helped thousands of pharmacists gain clarity about their career direction, develop in-demand professional skills, and successfully transition into roles that offer greater job satisfaction, work-life balance, and meaningful impact. Our programs combine personalized coaching, practical career strategies, and a supportive community of professionals navigating similar transitions. Rather than relying solely on job boards or traditional advice, we focus on helping pharmacists identify their strengths, position themselves strategically, and pursue career opportunities aligned with their goals. At our core, we believe pharmacists deserve careers that energize them, not ones that leave them feeling stuck or burned out. Our mission is simple: help pharmacists rediscover their value, build confidence in their skills, and create careers they genuinely enjoy.
