Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked.So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Buddy loves his Happy Howl! We love that it’s shelf stable so we don’t have to use up our precious freezer space like the food we used to buy. The food always ships on time and you can request early shipping or pause for vacations etc. easily on the website.

My dog Gus who eats everything always, ate it up except for a few peas but my dog Maggie who is a picky eater but almost always eats some of her breakfast and then more as the day goes on, took one sniff and didn't eat a bite. She never even took another sniff and now it's 2 and her bowl hasn't been touched. Also what's with the carton. I know that it's what make you unique but it's a pain to open and serves no purpose. Pop top cans are much easier. This was the Grandmas stew so we'll see if Maggie has any interest in any of the others. Not at all impressed. Josh McKee

We love hearing that Gus polished off his bowl—even if he left a couple of peas behind! On the other hand, we completely understand your disappointment with Maggie taking a pass, as picky pups can be tough to predict. For Maggie, gently warming the meal or mixing a spoonful into her current food can help introduce the new scent. Regarding our cartons, we choose them because they are fully recyclable and shelf-stable, but we know they take a little getting used to compared to traditional cans! We hope one of our other recipes catches Maggie's eye, and we really appreciate your honest feedback.
Just received today, doodles loved the beef stew. They have never waited while I fix their bowls. Big hit for dinner !

Getting a hesitant pup to try something new can definitely take a little extra patience! Adding a splash of warm water or low-sodium bone broth, or using the food as a tasty topper on their current meal, can often encourage hesitant eaters to dig in. My 2 picky Yorkies love it 1 is 6yo and the other is 16yo they are small dogs and I don’t have to put it in the food processor to make it small enough for them to eat. It stores easy after opening I don’t have to put it in a plastic container to keep it fresh This is my fur babies forever food
