I was having difficulty downloading a .zip file plug-in on my MAC. I contacted The Events Calendar support and received a quick response from Iris. Her support enabled me to fix the problem in 30 seconds. Thank you very much, Iris!

It is a very stable and great Events plugin to manage and organize any type of plugins.

Iris helped me with an issue I had on Events Calendar Pro. She let me know that the issue was not caused by the plugin, but that it was my theme. She also provided a solution, providing the code and explained where I can place the code. The instruction was very clear and easy to understand.

The pjugin works then it doesn't. I tried to upload another plugin from them and I get an error stating the link has expired and they say it's issue on my end. They do not respond quickly

In our support terms, we promise to reply to every message within 24-48 hours, and looking at your tickets, our team has responded to all your messages within 24 hours. I understand how frustrating it can be when something you purchased doesn't work. Our team is happy to continue to work with you to get these issues resolved.
Functionality does not work, even on paid version, support is limited and very slow. They try to pass blame to other plug-ins and theme conflicts even though we have tested that they are not.

A rewrite to version 6 required a database upgrade. The upgrade causes the plugin to fail and display error messages on the site. Of course this is partly because we use a multisite implementation of Wordpress. A more mature product would have a smoother upgrade path - or at the very least the ability to export, reinstall and import data. Another issue is the plugin requires too much CSS customization. Lack of support makes it difficult to back out of these issues. Maybe time to look for alternatives. (Have been using TEC for a decade on various sites.)

My initial optimism gave way to website instability, underscoring the gravity of the risks involved. The juxtaposition of an attractive interface with a trail of constant issues is perplexing. While aesthetics may capture attention, it's the reliability and functionality that determine a plugin's true value. Events Calendar Plus seemed to miss the mark in this regard, leaving me grappling with persistent problems that overshadowed any visual appeal. The term "premium" holds lofty expectations, particularly when accompanied by a hefty price tag for subscription renewals. Unfortunately, my encounters with Events Calendar Plus cast a pall over the concept of premium plugins. The absence of expected functionality diminished the value I had initially associated with the term, making me question the justification for the cost. In conclusion, my journey with Events Calendar Plus has been a study in contrasts. While the visual allure and promises of premium features initially intrigued me, the cascade of issues and the implications of a substantial price tag for renewals have tempered my enthusiasm. Just as others have cautioned, the risks of encountering fatal issues loom large, reminding me to tread carefully and weigh the aesthetics against the potential pitfalls.
