Hi James. As I've stated many times via our support system. I'm not seeing a cancellation request in our system. How did you attempt to contact us? I will be happy to honor that request even if you sent the request to the wrong email address. I just need some sort of documentation that it happened - if you could find that email or support message, it would be very helpful. In the meantime, I've canceled your account so that you won't get billed again. If the regular payment fails on the scheduled date, it will be retried a few more times over a period of a few weeks. Your scheduled billing date is on the 18th of each month. It does look like the March payment for $14.95 failed a few times - that's why it came out on the 3rd. We then billed your account as scheduled for $14.95 on April 18th. There is no scam here. Your account was canceled the same day we received your request on April 20th and you will not be billed again. You signed up for a subscription service. You were billed on a monthly interval as agreed. You requested cancellation and your account was canceled. The BlogPress terms clearly say that you will be billed each month until you cancel - this is reiterated on your receipt. The terms also very clearly say that there are no refunds after the 14-day trial period and that you are responsible for all charges until you cancel. Everything is very clear and in black and white. Hi Patti. As I explained in great detail over text, this was your 3rd yearly renewal and your account was not cancelled until we spoke. You made no attempt to reach out to us or indicate in any way that you wanted to cancel your account prior to this conversation. Surely, you can agree that the responsibility to use, not use, or cancel your service falls squarely on you. The advantage of pre-paying for the full year in advance is that you get a discount of more than 40% off of the regular month-to-month cost. The disadvantage is that you will need to set a reminder for yourself so that you don't forget to cancel if you no longer wish to continue. BlogPress is a subscription service, just like your cell phone, Amazon Prime, and Netflix accounts. It will continue to auto-renew until you cancel. To help you remember, BlogPress sends out several reminder emails before your account renews so that you have ample time to cancel the account before the next renewal date. The quotation in your review is factually incorrect and does match my statements or BlogPress practices: "We are cancelling your service, so you will receive absolutely no product for your money, but we do still want you to pay half of the cost of the product we are not providing." Please see below for the correct and accurate policy on refunds and cancellations. BlogPress provides full access to your account for the duration of your discounted, pre-paid yearly subscription as explained in our Terms of Service. BlogPress would never charge for a service that is not provided. The BlogPress refund policy clearly states that there are no refunds outside of the 14-day trial period. We do however make an exception for our yearly customers who may have forgotten to cancel their accounts. We offer a 50% refund of $48.50 to our yearly customers because we understand that sometimes, you just get busy and forget... It's our way of sharing the responsibility with you. I'm sure you can see that is more than fair. I hope I have answered your questions and concerns thoroughly. Hi there. I'm so sorry that you're feeling frustrated. Blogging can be a challenge to learn as there are many moving parts. It sounds like what you're looking for is a 1-on-1 coaching program and that is not something we can offer for $14.59 per month. Also, I'm not sure if you noticed, but we did recently partnered with Intercom to provide on-site chat/text support. It's not voice, but like I said that would not be possible at our price point. Most requests are answered in less than an hour during business hours. I would love to hear more about where you feel the tutorials are lacking so that we can make them better. Hi Al. I'm terribly sorry for any misunderstanding, but we do not have a mentoring and coaching program at this time. We are considering the addition of a coaching program this year, but please understand that it's not financially feasible to offer one-on-one, over the phone, coaching for $14.95 per month. Have you started the 90-Day Blogging Success training? This training walks you step-by-step (text, images, and video) through everything you need to do to start a successful blog. It is the "know what you don't know" part of the training. Plus, we are here to answer all of your questions and help with any snags along the way. Yes, it's true that we only offer email support at this time, but I assure you all support responses are from real people with the exception of the confirmation email that you receive letting you know that a ticket has been opened - that one is automated.
