We understand the frustration. Funding an account and then discovering that the service you wanted has no inventory is not a good experience. Our number pool changes continuously as lines are assigned, released, and restocked. Google Voice is often in high demand, so availability can move quickly. We have since added a quantity count that shows how many lines are currently in stock for each service before you start a verification. It does not reserve a number, but it gives you a much clearer picture of current availability before you fund or purchase.

We understand why adding funds before discovering that Google Voice had no inventory would be frustrating. Our number pool changes continuously as lines are assigned, released, and restocked. Google Voice can also be one of the higher-demand services. We have since added a quantity count that shows how many lines are currently in stock for each service. It gives customers a clearer picture of availability before funding or starting a verification.

We understand why that experience felt misleading. We have removed the New and added a quantity count that shows how many lines are currently in stock. This gives customers a much clearer view of availability before funding or purchasing. The quantity can still change as other customers use inventory, but you no longer have to rely on a general availability indicator alone.
