After scouring the market for someone who can handle my crypto taxes this year, I went with TaxBit because they seem to have invested quite a bit in software and they seem to have some valuable partnerships and backers in this space. They have a long way to go to be able to handle the complexities of this market, particularly in the DeFi space. Admittedly, this is a difficult task for any crypto tax company but the reason for the 2 stars is because I was basically left on my own to figure out how the software actually works. You can readily get someone to chat with you and you can count on them being syrupy sweet but they are poorly trained. And there is no mechanism to escalate issues to anyone. The people at TaxBit who really know how things work are simply inaccessible. I could have even made due with better documentation but it is still inadequate. In the end, this was one of the most frustrating tax experiences of my life and I worked with TaxBit for over 3 months on this, going from one person to the next. I am hopeful they will make great strides this year but I'm not that optimistic since this space seems to be moving faster than TaxBit can keep up.

Hey OG, Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback, we appreciate it (even when it's not a 5-star review). I'm sorry to hear your experience was subpar, of course that's not what we want for any customer and I'd like to connect with you (details below) to discuss this more. With regard to DeFi, yes, our offering is in beta and we're putting an emphasis in improving our DeFi offering to support the ever-evolving DeFi space. With regard to our support team, I'm sorry to hear you weren't given a more clear answer on how to address your issue sooner. It sounds like you may have been in a loop during tax season, not optimal and something we will address going forward. Like I said, we appreciate your honest feedback and are working to improve Defi, and expanding our educational content to help support more self-serve and escalation processes. I'd like to connect and discuss some of the issues you highlighted, can you send me an email ([email protected]) -Michelle VP Marketing
It was difficult not having Bitrue up and running for both of us. Not anyones fault . just pressure to finish taxes. Great staff . I will consider them again next year.

You guys got a CSV file imported into Taxbit that I could not. But, you didn't tell me what caused the problem or what I can do in the future to make it work. I don't do a lot of transactions, but I do want to be able to delete those transactions and re-add them as I add more transactions to Exodus. So, a little bit of a point in the right direction would certainly be appreciated. I was asked to update this review. I am not sure why this was requested, so I don't know why your requesting this. But, here it is, updated...

Top notch speed with total politeness. Absolutely superior customer service. Especially compared to the 2 major competitors that I used prior to using Taxbit. Thank you.
