Take 5 Oil ChangeReviews of take5.com

I am reviewing on my location in Apache Junction, AZ on Main Street. The guys in this location are amazing. They are quick, professional, always greet me with a cold bottle of water. I don't ever feel like they push anything on me, of course they ask if I want to upgrade or do additional items. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't but they are always respectful if I decline. Last time I went I brought them treats from Cinnaholic, a local cinnamon roll company & it made them so happy. They always do a great job, quickly & I want them to feel appreciated. Good company & I will continue coming here & referring anyone I know that needs a quick oil change at a reasonable price. It's also nice that they randomly text out coupons for me to use, they don't just offer discounts for "new" customers like alot of companies do. Give them a try!

So we've been taking my girlfriend's car here for awhile now. I took it this time and was charged extra bogus fees which I've never been charged before looking back over previous invoices. I was charged $14 for the oil filter and an additional temp fee of $3. Don't know what that is. Tried calling the phone number for both the location and customer service but no one answers. Emailed customer service but no response thus far. Obviously you'll have to watch what they charge carefully at the Argyle Forest Blvd Jacksonville FL location. Won't be going back there!!! After they responded on Google I have sent another email with all the details. UPDATE: Sent email 6 days ago still no reply. They obviously don't respond to issues. DON'T GO TO TAKE 5. If there's an issue they don't respond at all !!!

Thought i would go early and have an oil change, and get winter tires put on. I am told oil changes were a priority. So here we sit waiting, waiting, waiting. Last fall it took 3 hours to get my tires changed. Previously they broke the clamp on my air intake. Get it together Take 5

Avoid Take 5 Oil Change. I brought my 2015 Subaru Outback to their location at 2656 N Eagle Rd in Boise, ID for service, and their shop made a critical mistake that severely damaged my transmission, leaving the vehicle completely unusable. Their commercial insurer (Travelers) issued a lowball offer of $2,135, which covers only a small fraction of certified repair quotes ($7,000+) or total vehicle loss damages ($12,000+). Despite full documentation being submitted, they refuse to make me whole. Canned customer service responses asking me to email them are just a public PR tactic—they already have the full claim details and estimates. Avoid this company.

This was my very first time there. My car didn't even get 1,000 miles on the oil change..my car started leaking oil I was charged $107 for oil change now I have to play for having oil leak because the used wrong oil. I think they take advantage of women especially older ones..we trust them and yet they screw you over..I will never go back there.. people stay far far away from this place

I went to have my oil topped off like they offer and the guy didn’t put my oil cap back on and oil splattered all over the inside of my hood and I was completely empty! I tried calling this location immediately after and no one answered, I called and emailed and no response. This is the hardest place ever to contact with a serious complaint! Car still smoking Unacceptable I am a fan of the place in Alliance Ohio

Went for an oil change for one of my trucks. I had the oil and filter. They refused to do the oil change because I would not hand over my car keys. They said it was there policy for safety. So I asked how come they don't ask for my phone. I can start the truck with a app. I believe that they want the key fob to copy it. Shady staff, beware. I am a repeat customer but from a different location. This location was Midland. I should be able to give no stars.

DO NOT SERVICE YOUR VEHICLE HERE — CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE CAUSED BY GROSS NEGLIGENCE Location: Take 5 Oil Change (Cave Creek & Thunderbird Rd Zero Ownership & Baseless Denials: Despite being provided clear, written third-party documentation, their claims department denied the claim without presenting a single piece of factual evidence or counter-proof. Incompetence & Dysfunctional Communication: Communication between store management, Take 5 Corporate, and their claims team is completely broken. I have repeatedly been given statements by one department, only to call another and be told those statements were completely false. The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. An improperly secured oil filter isn't a grey area—it is the single most fundamental error an oil change technician can make, and the only way oil leaks past a newly installed filter gasket is through gross negligence during installation. I gave this shop every opportunity to resolve this privately by replacing the damaged engine. Instead, they have dodged responsibility at every turn. I am now actively preparing a formal legal lawsuit to recover my lost vehicle, inspection fees, and damages. Save yourself the thousands of dollars in damages and the massive administrative headache. Do not trust Take 5 at Cave Creek & Thunderbird with your vehicle. They also are refusing to provide shopkeepers insurance or a certificate of insurance i have requested multiple times now . You have been warned I will continue to update this post . As far as your standard canned response asking me to reach out: you already have all of my information. My contact details, vehicle records, and claim file have been provided directly to your corporate office and your claims division multiple times. Feel free to have someone with actual decision-making authority contact me directly. I am completely done wasting my time chasing down your administrative team, store management, and claims adjusters who do nothing but pass the buck. You have my number—use it. they denied the claim gain so here we go . To the Management, I am writing to express my absolute contempt for your organization’s abysmal operations and total lack of basic competence. The level of failure demonstrated by Take 5—specifically leaving an oil filter completely loose and causing oil to spew directly between the filter and the engine block—is a severe display of gross negligence. There are no other leaks on this motor. There is no ambiguity here, no complicated cause to diagnose, and no excuse you can invent that absolves you of this mess. The root cause is singular and obvious: your workers failed to perform the most basic aspect of their jobs, and your company is actively participating in a fraudulent cover-up to protect them. Refusing to send an inspector after an explicit request proves that your company is built on bad faith and cowardice. You are intentionally shielding a negligent service provider from accepting financial responsibility for the damage they caused to a paying customer. Your operational integrity is non-existent, your customer service is a complete joke, and the way you conduct business is utterly disgraceful. Consider this my final direct communication. Because you have proven entirely incapable of acting like a reputable business, I am handing this matter over to my attorney immediately. I will ensure every legal, regulatory, and public avenue available is used to hold your pathetic company fully accountable for this failure. Your failure to act has only worked to your disadvantage. In the time you have spent avoiding responsibility, I have gathered comprehensive, documented evidence clearly establishing that the oil leak originated directly between the filter and the engine block due to improper installation by Take 5. Expect to hear from my legal counsel.
