ALMOST A SCAM. You can use it to tell time, but it is the most inaccurate, unresponsive piece of junk I have ever bought in a watch. I figured out within a day or 2 this watch was not for me because it didn't do what it said it would do within any reasonable interval of accuracy. When I looked to return it, I was told I had to send to Poland! :-0 Of course I would have to pay the postage which was as much as the watch. OMG. For $200 I have a great bit for comedy, but not a worth while watch for swimming in the least.

I used the watch for about 6 months. Lap counting was very insistent, sometimes it was right, sometimes it was wrong. It was never consistently wrong, sometimes it would skip a lap at the start of my swim or at any stage after that. It seemed to just lose a lap sometimes even more. Battery life started out great and then slowly got worst. Ending up after the 6 months only lasting a 1 hour swim. I always had problems connecting to the Bluetooth on the phone. I ended up buying an Huawei GT2 watch and it is a far better watch for swimming and has plenty of other useful features that the Swmmo couldn't dream of doing.

About 2 years ago I wrote a review about the Swimmo watch and its great potential. Now, 2 years later, Swimmo has unfortunately been outdated by other more advanced swim watches. There are now multiple watches on the market, which include way more detailed swim metrics (Stroke, stroke count, Swolf). The updates they promised over again, never came. This is how they advertise: "Buy now and upgrade your watch later with free, automatic software updates! No need to buy new watch." I have got my watch 3 years now and there has been one tiny little update, which did not improve the watch, but even broke the kick&drill mode almost entirely (at least in my case). One of the reasons I bought the watch were those free updates in the future. I have been waiting for the stroke stats and even more for the implementation of the open water mode. Stroke stats is still being advertised on the website, but open water has already been removed for a longer period of time now (probably because of the very poor visibility of the watch outside). I have emailed a lot with Swimmo, the customer service deserves credit for the way they answered all my emails. Unfortunately I have to be honest, I lost faith...

Same comments as the others, difficult to impossible to see the screen in sunlight (I swim outdoors) and it requires charging after each swim. Functions are clunky to use. Disappointed overall and I had the same experience with customer service when I expressed my issues to them. They explain away the issues but stop short of a resolution, which leaves you feeling like a sucker. You guys win for getting my wife’s money for a Christmas gift I used twice. Congrats! UPDATE: Swimmo replied below, but I know of no email I was supposed to reply to. They explain their screen technology, but it doesn’t matter, it washes out in the sunlight. The short battery life is not addressed.

Lets see, what are my issues with this watch. 1. Doesn't provide a set workout. It does laps, but trying to analyze after a swim is impossible... I think the set of 100's I did are laps 40 - 100 on the watch. 2. Requires very strong hitting to get it to realize you want it to start. 3. Cannot get it to sync with phone app very well. It takes 4-5 tries. 4. Cannot read it at while swimming. 5. Cannot get two complete swims before a charge. Basically, swim, charge and swim again. 6. Lack of usable documentation. There is no real users guide to help you determine why you would want to use a particular function. I still don't know how to use a goal properly. This was supposed to be a swimmers watch. All the videos I watched had people so pleased. But reality check, who goes on their phone before a swim to set up a goal. Especially if you read #3 above. I want to get in the pool, get my workout done and be able to see how I did on the set of 200's. Wait, can't do that, see #1. I had such high hopes with this watch, but I'm completely disappointed; think I'll go to a garmin swim.

When I received the watch, I decided it was not ideal for my purposes. So contacted swimmo to arrange returning arrangements. I had to return the watch to Poland, costly with insurance. After 3 weeks since I returned the watch I have not received any information that they have the watch back. Not one reply to the many emails I have sent, I for one would not recommend any one to deal with this company. Can not pass comment on the watch because I did not use it.

After 3 weeks of use, I concluded that I would indeed have choose any other watch over this. From time to time, mainly after recharge, watch don't react to pushes on the screen. Other times, it's so super sensitive, that it starts a training in the bag. It constantly forgets my settings, so when I wanna sync with the phone, nothing happens, until I go into settings, and redo them. Basically, I can't trust the watch to really work, and that's simply just not okay. The poor visible display I can live with. jumping in the menu with a twist, works great as well.

- It's tough to see the screen when you swim outside in bright weather. - The watch feels cheap. - Terrible return policy. (or what they call "changed your mind" policy. I wanted to return it but found out that I had to ship it to Poland (Europe). They don't give you the option to ship it back to one of their warehouses in the US! They request to mail it by registered mail to Poland which would cost approximately $ 60. Their disclaimer also says that they have the right to restocking fee or a deduction if they see wear and tear on the watch. So I decided to put it on eBay which I see other people have done before as well.. probably for the same reason. On a good note, they are relatively responsive by email.
