The company makes an appointment, we wait at the assigned time. The company reaches out an hour after the scheduled time and they say they are closed and can they reschedule. Would you ever trust a company that acts this way BEFORE you ever get started with them???

Well, it's day 300 of waiting for SunPower to finish installing our solar panels... The ones the contract said they would finish installing within 90 days. My neighbors went with a different solar provider and their project, from signing to activation, took less than two months. And when you remind them that they are in breach of contact, they will blame everyone in the world but themselves. Somehow other solar providers are able to complete their installation within the timeline allotted by the contact, but SunPower believes that it does not have to honor its written obligations. Buyer beware. Do not waste your time or money on SunPower. Obviously they spend all their money on sales to bamboozle you into thinking that you're going to get excellent service. Well, frankly, you're lucky if you get anything at all within a year of signing. They told me over and over again that there were solar cell shortages, but when I threatened to void the contract and go with another provider they miraculously managed to find some solar cells and promised to finish my installation by the end of the year. Obviously that hasn't happened, but I'm not even surprised at this point. These people will run you around and waste your time until you regret ever trying to get solar at all. Bottom line: you're better off without solar at all if SunPower is your only choice.

Case # 02762634 I received the bill of $148.62 from Billing Dept. I was very upset. I did call Billing Dept but the service rep told me that my case and account have been transferred and handled by John Cerda. As you know the SunPower solar system was dead since Dec 11, 2021 and did not produce any electric at all ( zero generation ) due to inverter not working. The technicians came to my house 3 times: June 6, 2022, Sept 21, 2022 and the last time Nov 18, 2022. They could not replace inverter because they had no spare part at all. They said they were buying time. SunPower owes me $575.28 which I paid during 1 year period ( 2022 ) plus I paid $951.46 to SRP ( local electric co in AZ ). Grand total : $1,526.74 but SunPower has not settled yet and now Billing Dept sent me the bill saying that I owed $ 148.62 I have contacted John Cerda regarding his email dated 12/20/2022 saying the check of $300 would be sent to me for compensation. But the check never arrived. Also on 1/18/23 Shawn of Colletion Dept of SunPower called me to ask why I did not pay the bill. I said the Solar system was dead since Dec 11, 2021. That was why I did not pay. She said she would contact John Cerda to solve this issue. This problem has been over 1 year and I do not want this case to drag on and on for another year. Thank you. I received the bill of $148.62 and still add on $$ and the Solar System is still dead ( not working at all ) since Dec 11, 2021 due to inverter and PV S6 needing to be replaced but the techs told me that they had no spare part because the inverters come from Europe and now the company stopped making it. This case has been going on 1 year and 2 months now. SunPower is the worst company I have ever experienced to deal with. Stay away from this co. What does SunPower expect me to pay monthly for the "dead Solar System" in my roof of the house? Shawn of Collection Dept of SunPower said to me she would call John Cerda but so far the case is still stand and Solar System is still DEAD.

Stay away from working with SunPower unless you are ok with breach of contract terms/agreements. Do contracts with timelines not mean anything to this company? Their customer service team is horrible to work with (excluding an Amber) as no one takes accountability whatsoever. From prices/offering, they aren’t really competitive or a “better value” than others - region/area dependent The sales team will work to get the sale and then once they’ve made it, don’t expect a positive customer experience. They also will try to blame utility companies - when calling and speaking with the utility company on multiple occasions, they said SunPower could call their assigned partner contact anytime with any questions. You are better off going with another company and avoiding their post-sales experience

Terrible Customer Service. I bought my solar panel from this company. I called Sun Power reporting the solar panels are not working and I have increased electric bills. I called them several times to follow-up they told me they were still monitoring, analyzing and processing to find out what the problem was. Twice they scheduled a technician to come to my house, so I filed leave of absence at work but twice those technicians did not show up. Until now for 5 months the Sun Power solar panels are not working. The next technician is scheduled to visit my house next year January 30, 2023. This is terrible and unacceptable customer service. This is a rip-off not a savings. So be careful who you buy solar panels from...

SUNPOWER was the official solar company of KB homes in our area Riverside county ( we've been here since 2015) the Solar panel is inclusive when we bought the house we are first occupant. we first had a problem last July 2022, the solar converter is showing error and we reported it to the company. we called multiple times for update but, there were no reply. finally we emailed KB homes to ask for assistance how to contact SUNPOWER, KB homes took action and emailed them regarding the issue, SUNPOWER call us back 3 months after, (October) they told us that they will change the Solar converter. it was change November of this year but it was not working and the person that change the converter knew that it was not working. until NOW we have no calls or updates from this company. This Solar company is supposedly legit but the worst customer service. we have been calling them for 5 months now but, The customer service will just say somebody will call you back tomorrow , next week or whatever.

Really bad customer service, responsiveness, and management of installation process. Let me summarize: 1) installers tried to change the original design upon installation after a 4-hour onsite inspection. They wanted the change to make installation easier and presented it as a requirement. 2) I said no and the dumped the equipment on my yard and just left it there for 3 weeks. No outreach to explain what is going on. 3) Issue resolved after multiple emails and calls. They installed per the initial design. 4) Installers say a step is missing and I have no clarity on what the step is and when it's going to happen. My point of contact at the company doesn't even know what the step is. It's been weeks since I asked and can't get an answer to this very simple question. 5) Installation inspection failed. I get no proactive outreach to explain next steps. I have to reach out and after multiple emails - each takes a full business day for a response - I still don't know when rework can be done. I still don't know about this mysterious missing step either. It's been two months since installation started and there's no clear path to completion, and no communication with me even after multiple escalations. I tried to complain internally multiple times to no effect so hopefully this public note will help.

If i could give them no stars i would. At the time i got my solar pannels installed i was assured that if anything happened to my roof due to the solar pannels, sunpower would cover the cost. I asked if there was anyway to install the pannels on the ground instead of my roof? I was told no, well here we are a little over 3 years later and i have a leak in my roof where the solar pannels sit. I called the company on December 4th and was told the repairs would be covered and that someone would reach out and call me in 24 to 48 hours. Needless to say no one called me, i was emailed and asked about roofing warranty. i quickly emailed back and told them that i didnt install the roof that it was done by previous owners. I asked for the manager to call me. That for something as critical as this that can cause a lot of damage to my home, I should of recieved a phone call not an email. On December 8th i still had not heard anything so i called in again to find out what was going on. It was noted in my file that they would not fix my roof because my 3 year installation warranty had passed. I told them thats not what i was told at the time of installation and when i called in a few days back. The woman on the line said that the manager was going to reach back out on December 13th. In the meantime rain is leaking in my home and were supposed to get snow. I told them the whole situation is extremely unprofessional and their lack of communication is disgusting. I had to call back several times to find a local authorize dealer to come remove my pannels so i can get my roof fix and then reinstall them. To add insult to injury their going to charge me to do that as well. Im beyond disgusted with this company and if i would of known what i know now then, I would have never signed the leasing contract. I would of found a better solar company. One whose stands by their product and word. Everyone be warned do not use Sunpower solar, you will be upset in the end.
