Great experience and service

I stumbled upon Student Loan Tutors on a podcast interview and set up a phone appointment. My first conversation showed me just how little I knew about my loans and how much help I really needed. This is radical restructuring and a way to level the economic playing field. Genevieve then took over the process and was great! She even navigated doing all this in the middle of a pandemic. My only complaint is that I didn’t do this years ago.

I was very excited to be working with STL after my initial consult - the proposed numbers looked great and would save me a lot of money every month! After STL helped me re-certify my loans, my monthly payment was a little higher than they had suggested it would be, but it was still an improvement so I felt satisfied. Then they tried to help me consolidate my some of my smaller loans with my larger Fed loans. During the consolidation process I was instructed multiple times by STL to not make payments on my loans. Months passed and I received multiple “overdue” notices, but STL still insisted I should not make payments as we were still in the consolidation process. Long story short, one of my loans is not able to be consolidated, and so I now have a 90-day late payment hit on my credit score. This will apparently be on my credit score for SEVEN YEARS. When I expressed my frustration to STL and asked what could be done, I did not get a response.

So happy with their guidance. I am saving hundreds each month including the price of service. I recommend them to everyone.

Such a wonderful group to work with! They genuinely want to help their clients and that shined from the start. Very thorough in discussing my options and plan of action. Always quick to respond if I have any questions too. I'm happy to be working with them and have them advocating for me!

Student loan tutor kicks butt! After getting off the phone with them I messaged about 80 of my Chiropractic colleagues to tell them about this amazing business. If I had spoke with them 1.5 years ago I would have saved about 8k in interest, and that's just in the first 1.5 years! Imagine how much more I would be spending if I didn't talk to them at all! SOO INFORMATIVE. This phone call cut my interest in half over the life of my loan. They help you understand your loans in the long term and put you in the plan that is right for you, with a call each year to re-evaluate. I wish that I understood this stuff when signing up for my loans (someone dropped the ball here!!) and I think they should be hired at all Chiropractic Schools. Having an informative call with them is something you should NOT wait on. Call them ASAP! Their team is awesome, friendly and super knowledgeable. You'll be glad you did!
