Compass Student InsuranceReviews of studenthealthusa.com

They responded quickly to all my concerns.

Katy was amazing! She was really helpful

They covered everything they were supposed to; I got vaccines and preventative care covered 100% and had to visit a couple doctors that were covered after the deductible was met. The claims I submitted for the vaccines & preventative checkups went through in about 2 weeks or maybe less? the claims submitted through the doctors' office took maybe 3 weeks. Often times it is very hard to get someone on the phone, so I'm knocking down one star for that. Other than that, pretty good insurance, I might stay with them once I move from F-1 to OPT, even though their OPT plan is not as good.

Good communication and response.

I have a Compass J Savings Plan which is meant to cover prescription medications. I have been unable to claim my prescriptions because the pharmacy says my insurance is showing up as "inactive". After calling their hotline, I learnt that the Compass insurance card doesn't have a PCN, or Processor Control Number, which prevents pharmacies from billing Compass. Effectively, this means (to my knowledge) I have been unable to auto-fill my prescriptions, and that I have to pay upfront $500-$1000 at the pharmacy (and make a separate claim with Compass in the hope that they'll pay me back). This certainly doesn't sound like ideal prescription coverage to me. If anything, it comes across like a system that is designed to make it difficult for people to get their prescriptions. Would not recommend. Xuan W Tay

Pretty easy to create and enroll

Support is reactive and solved the issue

I was a bit frustrated to see I couldn't create my account, but then through the chat I got the help needed and patience in this case on the assistant's side was the real deal.
