Joining stepexcel academy has been by far the best decision i made in my usmle journey so far. I went from being confused and frustrated to being confident and fulfilled. Dr Taher is an amazing tutor. I cant say enough good things about him. He helps each student to develop a customized study plans. His lectures are high yield uworld, nbme and exam concepts and he goes over them repeatedly to make sure everyone understands. He designs rapid fire sessions to keep students engaged. He sends questions and encourages us all to solve in an interractive session. The makes sure we review pdfs collectively. I havent even mentioned his daily motivational talks to encourage us to keep reading and not to lose focus. Usmle is a lonely and depressing tunnel. My name is Dr Harshita Singh. I am an old IMG mom. I graduated in 2014. I started my preparation very long ago but I had given up on my USMLE journey 4 years ago after struggling with low scores although I tried multiple resources. As an img I was overwhelmed and lost by the number of resources to use for my usmle step 1 preparation. Before i found out about Dr Taher’s USMLE program, i was in a dead end for my step preparation. I started Dr Taher’s step 1 course in November 2024. And as the course progressed, my uWorld scores started improving as well. His approach to the study material is very unique. During his course he integrated all the subjects whenever needed in such a way that i stopped missing questions frequently. The course really opened my eyes to the technique of how examiners may ask questions and how to answer them correctly by knowing the integrated topics. I also had one on one lectures from him after the course finished just to build confidence to sit for the exam. My confidence was so low that i was scared to even take any assessments but Dr Taher helped me boost my confidence and i finally did some assessments (after he forced me to take 😂) and these were my scores and time i took them before actual exam: 1 month : uWorld SA 1 : 73% 2 weeks : NBME 31 : 78% 1 week : Free 120 : 78% 2 days : NBME 30 : 79% And for my step 2 also am taking lectures from him. My uWorld scores are already in 70s and am happy, though he want me to score 80s as usual he expects very high 😁. He is not just a God sent teacher for me but a very good mentor as well.
