My Mentor Says My Work Is Good, but I’ve Failed the Assignment Six Times
I can’t recommend Springboard based on my experience. I’ve failed the second assignment six times, even though my mentor has reviewed my work and said it looks good. The mentor and graders don’t seem to be on the same page, and I’m left without a clear explanation of what I need to change to pass. It makes me wonder what the point of having a mentor is if their guidance doesn’t help me meet the graders’ expectations. I do want to say that my mentor has been great. My frustration is with the grading process, not with her. When I raised concerns about the grading process, I received a polite email, but I didn’t feel that the underlying problem was addressed. At roughly $15,000, the program hasn’t felt worth the cost to me. I wouldn’t recommend spending that money without getting clear answers about how assignments are graded and how students can resolve conflicting feedback.
