I absolutely hate sparx reader. It has ruined my life. I love reading and read my own book for a long time every day but sparx reader makes reading shit. I have had about 5 meltdowns due to sparx reader where it feels like my whole life is falling apart. If you are a head teacher reading this than I beg you not to put your students through this unnecesary torture. It breaks my heart to hear how many teens are going through what I am. Honestly, we would all rather read real books. Please get rid of this infuriating website. It makes me break down in tears as i cannot handle it. PLEASE. DONT PUT US THROUGH THIS!!!

Very annoying how when I don't get it right the first time it gives like 20 points it should give at least 2 attempts. It does not let you read the book from the start it is just random bits from the book so you don't even know the full story. It is bad.

So absolutely shit gave me tons to read only for the questions to be insanely difficult for instance in the story it said "a dog lunged at curly tearing his face". And the question to go with this that was correct was "the dog showed mild agression to the husky" like how is this fair it doesnt even word the question correctly. They make it so hard my whole family has to help me and sometimes even they cant do it i would rate it half a star but cant even do that DO NOT USE

I can’t put into words how much i hate this, it completely takes the fun an enjoyment out of reading and the questions don’t even make sense it is an incredible waste of time and it I going to create false data about my reading age ruining my potential an future

It is Terrible! Sparx maths is ok but Sparx reader is awfully. it no way encourage reading in fact it made my son upset and does not help your reading skills. For some reason sometimes it allows a 3 out of 4 but other times it does not. I allow a 2 out of 4 as not good enough but 3 should. It does not help students at all and my son is sensitive so he got up.

Sparxreader, I think is much, much better than it's counterpart sparxmaths. Atleast i can enjoy reading a book without annoying checks. because unlike maths, i dont need to write down proofs or methods. It can be relaxing. one of the only criticisms i have with this website is that sometimes the mini quizzes at the end of each chapter will allow 3 answers to pass, whereas others require you to get all 4 answers correct. Im not saying this website is perfect. i believe there could be many things to be improved upon. I shall list a couple now. - A balanced quiz: I think the idea of quizzes at the end of each chapter to mark your progress is a good idea, i do not like, however, is the fact that sometimes sparx allows 1 incorrect answer, and sometimes it doesn't; I think that all quizzes should allow one incorrect answer, maybe your thumb slipped, maybe you got slightly confused; either way i think the quiz system needs a slight change. -Colour options: When choosing how i would like to see the page, there are only options to choose bright, pastel colours as the background while reading, which i found could be rather irritating. instead of this, allow people to choose any hexadecimal colour for their background and text, this could be better for colourblind, epileptic, or dyslexic people. -Book choosing: I think we should have a larger 'library' of books to choose from to be able to read. Having your favourite book locked behind a wall of sparx gold reader is bewildering. If you expect people to enjoy reading, allow them to choose their own books. I do understand that maybe this would allow people to do quizzes on books they've already read.. but isn't that the point? to get points as you read a book? so why can't i get points for books i dont read on sparx specifically? I apologise for going off on a tangent, but i feel like this website could genuinely be fun if a few changes were made to it.

Absolutely sucks. One of the worst websites ever. Horrible.
