SouthernCarParts.ComReviews of southerncarparts.com

One of the worst buying experiences of my life. Bought a car part that said it was in stock. Two weeks later after not receiving ANY communication, I called and got a gruff sounding lady (an "operator") who sounded pissed that I was calling about my order. She then proceeded to tell me that the part I ordered would take 4 to 5 weeks to be shipped. After 5 weeks, I called again and got the same gruff operator who then said that it would take 5 to 6 weeks. During this period I tried several times to contact Southern Car Parts and nobody answered. For heavens sake, STAY AWAY from this vendor. I found out that the part was actually manufactured at a company called AMT Customs Design. I looked up their phone number and was able to talk to a very nice lady who found my order at AMT and expedited the shipment. I should have went directly to AMT for my custom car door sill. Go directly to AMT Custom Designs, which turned out to be cheaper than Southern Auto Parts anyway and has great customer service.

Extremely hard company to work with. Ordered a part, the part was going to take a long time, tried to cancel the order. No one would answer phone , emails or messages left on website. The part took over 2 months to arrive. I then tried to return the part. It took 2 months or longer for southern to send me a return address (with no return label). I paid for the return postage. Southern corvette told me in an email (writing) to send the part to another company. Then southern did everything but say the word liar to me. It took the other company to send a message to southern for them to say “Good News, you get a refund.” Extremely frustrating company with horrible customer service and poor communication. Still no sign of a refund in my bank account.

Terrible communication, too long of lead time on my order. Will never use them again got me once.

Absolutely terrible place to try and buy something from and customer service is just as bad.You can't hardly get anyone to talk to no information.I had to cancel my order because they didn't have my tires in stock.Ordered July 8 had to cancel August 4th it's now August 31st and still don't have my refund. After finally getting hold of someone after trying for hours it suppose to be another 5 to 10 days.

I would do one star but want people to read the review so they advertise they have a LS one hot wire kit for the fuel pump. No, they don’t. They sent out an LS six hot wire fuel pump kit. I didn’t know. I ran the wire from the engine compartment had to take off both tires and thunder wells all the way back take the metal shield off the fuel pump and hook everything up then when I went to plug it into the hot wire harness kit to the fuel pump, the plugs are wrong. I contacted them. It took about a week for them to answer. Me stated they would get with their vendor that took another week. They stated that was the wrong hot wire kit. It’s for a C6 Corvette. I have a C5. I said well can you exchange me and send the right one and credit my account because you’ve held me up for like two weeks now their customer rep she calls me and sends me emails stating they can’t do anything for me but send me a return label. I told her I don’t take Corvettes apart and put them back together for free so I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Do not waste your time with these people they put in a box the wrong part, knowing it would not fit my Corvette and I wasted two days trying to get this in and get it hooked up. They don’t care about their customers. They don’t care about anything just putting money in their pocket and their customer service is horrible. I suggest you buy from somewhere

I found this place on the internet when i was shopping for motorcycle tires and order one pair for four hundred dollars and payed it with my debit card instead of my cc. First mistake. Then I received an email that I had to pay another four hundred dollars for shipping. At that time I didn't trust the company and I wasn't going loose more money on them but gave them the circumstances how this order became an order and asked for a refund. Okay, yeah no problem, I have refunded the money same way and it will be in your account in the next few business days. Sure enough, few days later I found four hundred dollars in my account that I can blow on something new. For my part, they're honest and did me right when I thought I had lost the money.

I don’t normally write reviews and I discovered this company had a pretty bad reputation after I ordered. I decided to write this because the part I ordered, a replacement for a factory spoiler on a 2018 Camaro, was a perfect match, painted well and to spec, and easily installed in the factory drilled holes. I got a communication right away that there would be a delay in getting the paint to order part to us, and then proactive communications disappeared. However, when I reached out I got a quick update and the part arrived as promised. Reasonably priced and exactly as described - though it took a bit longer than expected and required me to initiate communication. I would buy from them again.

Trash company advertises low prices, then comes back to ask for more money and tell you they are out of stock. When you refuse to pay more, they cancel the order instead of owning it. Garbage.
