It doesn't matter anymore, I am working with another vendor that is far less expensive. I will never go back to Selentro. When I finish the book, I will suggest to my blog followers why I am disappointed and let them come to their own conclusion.

Sent me someone else’s order. My book was for a birthday and it was ruined.

Dear Jazzlyn, we are truly sorry for this inconvenience and as far as I know a customer service representative has contacted you and rectified the issue and you have now received your order. We are of course very sorry for the delay but we are also sure of that the gift is highly appreciated even though it's delivered a bit late. Best regards/Hampus - Customer Service /The Solentro Team
My order arrived poorly packed, and so very damaged. Also there were only 26 of the 30 books I ordered. The order needed to be completely reprinted, and so I missed the opportunity to sell the book at a fundraising event. Solentro reprinted my order, but did not expedite shipping and it was a rather nail-biting experience waiting for the order to arrive in good condition before my credit card payment was due. The books did eventually arrive in good condition.

Dear Bonnie! As a representative you have been in contact with informed me you have been both reimbursed half the cost of the books and also received new ones as you mentioned in the review. Hence you received 30 books for half the cost. "Bonnie Halvorsen Aug 10, 2025, 6:57 PM (9 days ago) Okay. The credit was posted today, and the books arrived yesterday (surprisingly) and in good condition. We’re all settled. Bonnie" Anything can happen with an order and we always try to solve an issue in the best way possible. Hopefully this solution was one of those ways. And we also hope the amount of stars doesn't reflect the way we solved your issue but merely the fact that the order wasn't 100% correct in the first place. We wish you a great week! Kind regards, Klara /The Solentro Team
If I could give them no stars I would. What others have said is true. Obviously when someone makes a personalized book/gift it is needed as such and has no other value to anyone else. Well whenever my shipment is delivered it's going straight in the trash because I not only was told that I should have been aware than it takes 1-2 weeks to be made, but also that paying for expedited shipping only means that it will be shipped, after said completion of book. Once told this I paid another company to create my books and got them done and bound as a same day service for 10x less the amount of money that I paid. When asked for order to be cancelled and refunded, magically my order had now a tracking number, wait I thought it would take 1-2 weeks to be created, now it was created in 2 days. These guys are a complete rip off and look the other way before purchasing, this was gift for my husband's donor family which was meant to be given on Father's day. If the book you are creating is important to you and has meaning, go with a different company, this company acts as if it's hard up for money with little to no care about customer service or support.

Dear Apryl, thank you for your feedback and a customer representative has responded to all your emails and questions. Here is our latest reply: We've been doing this for almost 20 years now and we try to be as transparent as possible when it comes to shipping, hence the many places where you can read about our delivery times. Then of course, also, things can happen in production and there are Holidays to take into account for longer production times sometimes. We do deeply apologize for the delay you are experiencing. However, we received your order on the 5th of June and began the process on the 6th to produce your order, now, as the distributor states it should reach you any day now (hopefully). This is only 10-12 days after purchase, which is within the "about 1-2 weeks" that we state. Best regards/Hampus - Customer Service /The Solentro Team
„My intended gift became worthless!“ Sorry for writing this unfriendly comment but I am completely upset with the business behaviour and attitude of this company: 1. No online tracking available! 2. Getting no response at all after 3 mails in 5 days is simply unacceptable. 3. A production time above 7 working days (excluding shipping) different than published too long. 4. Making their customers believe they can get the shipment „latest“ in 7 days (paying premium shipping) the height of cheek. Please take above into consideration when planning to place your order - my intended 80th birthday present became worthless. Thus, my first and for sure last time experience with this shop.

Dear Thomas! Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear about your experience. Regarding your emails, as a customer representative has explained to you, they ended up in our spam-filter which we apologise for. As soon as they were discovered we replied to you. Regarding deliveries there are no guarantees which we try to be as clear as possible about. When we are contacted regarding deliveries we always say "the sooner you order the better because anything can happen along the way". We do not say "the latest" anywhere in our communication: Priority shipping: 2-5 week days. Shipping does not affect the production time which normally is about 2-5 week days. I'm sorry if this somehow was unclear, we strive to create and make you order as fast as possible while maintaining a very high quality product. I'm also hopeful that the recipient of your book will be very happy about it whenever it is received. Best regards/Hampus - Customer Service /The Solentro Team
The book was missing half of the words or half of the picture. I can’t give that as the gift it was intended to be.

Dear Desai! Thank you for your feedback here on Trustpilot! The books you make through Solentro can (and must) always be viewed exactly as they will be printed BEFORE you purchase them, in order to avoid mistakes like these. Since we've been communicating through our customer service I will share our communication. "As you can see in the app, (if you turn the phone into landscape-mode the pages will appear larger) the app looks exactly like the book you have received. The app automatically crops all images depending on the template you have chosen (or the app). You can choose which template works the best for the images you have uploaded. I would suggest the template covering a whole page or almost the whole page. If you want more control of the book making you can log in to Solentro online via a computer and upload your photos there instead, you will be able to decide not to crop the images upon the upload-procedure (which isn't possible in the app since the app is automatically creating a whole photo book for you!). Since this isn't an error on Solentro's behalf we can't refound or reprint the order (because it would look exactly the same) but we want you to have a book that you are proud of and hence feel free to use the code below to get 50% off of your next purchase (either from the app or online). Good luck!" Best regards/Hampus - Customer Service /The Solentro Team
I am very disappointed with the quality and size of the book I created. It cost over $60 but looks like it cost $15. It is smaller than I expected and the softback cover is so cheap and thin that it doesn't even stay closed! I spent several weeks designing and creating my book and was so excited to receive it but now I just feel ripped off! I would not purchase again!

Response from Solentro - make your own photo book or poster· Sep 5, 2024
Dear Christina! I'm very sorry to hear about your disappointment. When choosing the Softcover Premium book they do feel "thin" if the page count is below 100-200 pages. Our recommendation for a thinner book is hence always the Hardcover Premium. The Premium option also contain a full colour book, which means that each page is printed in full colour. There are cheaper options, which is called Softcover Basic, then the interior of the book is printed in black/white and hence this product is much cheaper. I'm sorry if our communication regarding these different features weren't as clear! A customer representative will contact you regarding this matter! Best regards/Hampus - Customer Service /The Solentro Team
Very poor customer service I ordered a book, made a mistake with the adress and I also forgot to add one page , wrote several times to their e-mail and no response. At least a short replay telling me that is not possible. Going with Hoffman next time for sure.

Response from Solentro - make your own photo book or poster· Aug 7, 2024
Dear Jose! Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry to hear that the communication between us wasn't satisfying. When searching for your email I couldn't find any communication and hence the lack of response! Please try to email us again! An address can normally be changed after the order has been made but it depends on several different factors. The content of the book however, can not be changed once an order has been placed since Solentro is a fully automated system and the book is sent directly to print upon purchase. Hence our many warnings before you proceed with an order: When you have completed your purchase, your order can't be modified, deleted or undone. Note: Your book will be as the PREVIEW shows.
