I beg of you to please avoid this company at all costs if you have the choice. Please advise your insurance company that you would like to be assigned a different vendor. Going through emergency home repairs is already stressful and Servpro has done nothing but add to that stress. The techs themselves have been kind which I appreciate and they say they are only following orders, but we were harassed in our home by management. Management is condescending, disrespectful, misogynistic, and racially biased. I have never experienced such an incredible amount of violation and unprofessionalism in my life. They hide behind lies, a refusal to put anything in writing, and the guise that they are following insurance guidelines when they are not. Unfortunately we got stuck in this situation but for anyone reading this I really am warning you of their tactics. We did not deserve to be treated in such a degrading way and neither do you. Please find another remediation company and do no let Servpro into your home and trap you.

Their slogan…instead of “like it never happened” it should be “like they didn’t do anything”. A crew out of Tuscaloosa Alabama came out to clean minor gas fireplace soot from ceiling and walls in a 11x33 room. Left after only two hours, made sure they got the $694, and my ceiling and walls are not cleaned. This company is a rip off. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!

Do not use this company. They will quote you a good price, and do great work, but the quote will not be anywhere near what the final price will be. Expect a 40% + final bill. If you choose to do a portion of your repair yourself or with a different company, they will change their original quote to close the diference between the two. Meaning, for a 15k repair, if you choose to do a part of the job they quoted 5k for with a different company, they will change the remaining 10k repair to 14k. This company is so shady that it should be illegal. BTW, the reason they are so fast and efficient is because they know one the work is done, you have to pay.

Exercise caution when considering ServPro of South Miami. I had water intrusion that damaged my hardwood floors and I considered hiring ServPro of South Miami largely because they assured me they would coordinate directly with my insurance adjuster and submit their invoice to the insurance company. The said "don't worry, we will handle everything and coordinate with the insurance company." Unfortunately, that did not occur. They ended up billing me personally, and based on the adjuster’s report, it appears ServPro never or hardly ever communicated with the insurance company at all. The result was a substantial difference between the amount the adjuster allowed and the amount ServPro charged. While the actual remediation work was fine, the failure to handle the insurance portion as promised created unnecessary stress and financial exposure.

I cannot recommend ServPro based on my experience with the reconstruction, packing, and moving of my home. Communication and project management were poor throughout the process. Materials they knew were needed weren’t ordered until late in the project, causing delays and affecting my flooring and cabinet replacement. A home inspection afterward found incomplete work, including insulation that had been removed but never replaced and HVAC vents that were not properly connected. As I’ve unpacked, I’ve discovered even more problems. Furniture was disassembled, but the hardware wasn’t taped to or kept with the furniture, and much of it was never found. I’ve made several trips to hardware stores trying to replace missing parts. A brand-new TV had a punctured screen and had to be replaced. My jewelry was thrown loose into a large box with other belongings, leaving necklaces and chains badly tangled. There were many other issues: my mattress was stored without the protective cover I specifically purchased, light covers were broken, drywall and construction debris were placed against freshly painted walls, glue was left all over the new flooring, and my front door was left unlocked. Most frustrating was being told by the supervisor that I was “complaining too much” when I raised concerns. These weren’t minor complaints. They involved damaged property, missing hardware, incomplete work, additional expenses, and many hours of my time trying to correct problems. Based on my experience, I would not use ServPro again.

Serv Pro destroyed my house with asbestos. I had a fire. Serv Pro tested for asbestos. Then Serv Pro was paid to be the administrator of Simply Green Solutions abatement. Paid $1500. Then two weeks after abatement Serv Pro Demo the floor including original 1972 vynle floor which was asbestos. Serv pro never tested floor. The South Carolina Environmental Service said the abatement never had floor in its scope. To top it off Serv Pro did not seal off the attic or the vents. Then bought in 5 air handlers to dry and blow air all through attic and vents. Serv pro violated all industry standards and even their own corporate standards. Destroyed my whole house with asbestos and mold. Now closed my local account and move to headquaters with an email saying they are reviewing and will contact me. Its been over 6 weeks. Nothing. Please run like hell from serv pro. The absolute worst.

Substandard service. Made false claims about tasks necessary to mitigate water damage. I used them once before and had no problem, but that was several years ago. I understand now why the reviews for Servpro are so negative.

Servpro hired their Florida team to come to Pittsburgh to help with the heavy storms we had. They “patched” our roof… 3 months later it’s leaking from the same spot again. When I called to have them redo what they did, seeing as their work was not done correctly. They quote on quote said “it’s up to the Florida team” passing the book, as if the Florida team are going to come all the way to Pittsburgh to do that. And of course they said no. Serv pro have refused to fix their mistake, I have a 3 year old in this house and a senior… do not go to serv pro they don’t care about their own work, your property and definitely not your family. Oh on top of not fixing their mistake, they basked a hole in my sink and won’t fix that either…
