Sendwyre is THE solution you've been looking for to transfer money overseas. Their rates are frequently a fraction of what western union charges and ~30% of what my bank charges. Their support staff is super responsive. You should definitely check them out!

I had trouble sending money to my girlfriend in China due to a banking limitation that restricts personal wires to a $1000 daily limit and a $5000 monthly limit. I didn't know about any of this until the problems came up, and after trying several different services online, Wyre was the only company I've found that has been able to work around these problems for me. The service fee on Wyre is, as mentioned before, very low, and the customer service team is very helpful and prompt to respond to any questions I have. Even though the transfer is a 2-step process (from your bank to Wyre -> from Wyre to designated account), the transactions have all been completed within a few hours on the same day. Highly recommend anyone needing to make international wire transfers - especially to China - to give Wyre a try.

I have the need to send money internationally every now and then, I checked TransferWise to see if they had new features, since I had used them a year or two ago but was not very pleased with them because it took too long to send the money and it turned out a bit disastrous. For some reason Wyre and their API popped up on my Google search, I guess because Google knows I'm a programmer and I research a lot of APIs for work. They certainly caught my attention since their exchange rates are the same as you get on Google/Yahoo real time!!!!! Then I think their fees are something close to $.75 per $100 which is 10000x more amazing and no one else can beat! They offer personalized concierge service to help you along the application process or anything that you may help with. He gave me the best customer service experience and I'm so glad I did my first international Transfer, the receiving party got the money seconds after I hit the "Send" button.

Wyre is on it's way to implementing cutting edge transactional efficiencies which have yet to be adopted in the United States. This emerging company has the foresight and vision to make strides to catch up with modern global economic trends, utilized in many other areas of the world with success , but for which there is a gaping dearth of similar options in the United States. Watch this company closely as they very well could change the landscape of international transactions to and from the United States.
