Hello, Finding a roommate can be really challenging. We strongly encourage all users to complete ID verification if possible, as it is a way to communicate to others that you are being transparent and serious about finding a roommate. We give the option to search for ID verified users to increase the possibility of finding a serious roommate. Here are some additional tips to assist in making the most out of Roommates.com. 1. Start with Your Matches. Your Match List, accessible from the "Matches" tab in your account, was created based on the profile criteria you provided. If possible, we recommend broadening your preferences in order to increase your Matches. Check out our Edit Your Profile Help Center article for instructions if necessary. 2. Use the "Search" Page. This page allows for a broader search based on fewer criteria, showing profiles that may not be "Perfect Matches" but are still looking for roommates in your area. 3. Engage Through the Message Center. We recommend sending messages to all members on your Match List and using the Search page to connect with more potential roommates. 4. Upload Photos. Many members prefer to connect with profiles that include photos. For guidance, see our Help Center article on photo uploads.
