WARNING TO SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS
WARNING TO SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS — RIVERSIDE PAYMENTS! I strongly advise every small-business owner to think twice before signing anything with Riverside Payments. Our experience has been extremely disappointing, financially damaging, and, in my opinion, completely misleading. We were promised FREE equipment, only to discover that we are actually paying approximately $200 per month in leasing fees. That’s $9,600 over four years for equipment we were told was free! We were also told that approximately $400-something would be deducted monthly and that we would receive reimbursements based on our sales. We have not received the reimbursements we were promised. What makes matters worse is that it’s not just Riverside Payments taking money. There is also an equipment-leasing company and another third-party processing company collecting fees. Instead of one predictable monthly payment, we have multiple companies withdrawing money from our business bank account. As a small business already struggling with rent, payroll, utilities, and operating expenses, these unexpected charges are putting tremendous financial pressure on us. I’ve contacted their representatives several times, but either someone is sick, unavailable, or simply doesn’t respond. I have messages documenting these conversations and my attempts to resolve the situation. Now we’re stuck in a FOUR-YEAR CONTRACT that we never would have agreed to had the actual costs been clearly explained. I also urge Clover to reconsider working with Riverside Payments and to investigate how these agreements are being presented to small-business owners. I feel completely misled and taken advantage of. I would never recommend Riverside Payments based on our experience. At this point, I’m desperately looking for a way out of this contract. If anyone knows a payment-processing company willing to buy out our Riverside Payments contract and equipment lease, please contact me. I’m willing to switch companies to get out of this situation. Small-business owners deserve honesty and transparency, not unexpected charges and years of financial obligations they never understood they were signing up for.
