Resume AdvisorReviews of resumeadvisor.com

I had not had a professional resume done in ages, and felt like my skill set wasn’t resonating with employers. I reached out to Jonathon at Resume Advisors for help. He responded immediately and set up an appointment to discuss my background and needs. Based on his astute feedback, I opted to have Jonathon optimize my LinkedIn profile and create a new and compelling cover letter. I was So pleased with the results! The look of my resume was cutting edge (I can’t even recount how many people complimented me on the resume...including potential employers) and meaningful, and my LinkedIn profile started getting more hits right from the start. I’m thrilled to say that I found the job of my dreams in less than 2 months! I would highly recommend using Jonathon and Resume Advisor, the small investment is so worth it in the long run.

Highly recommend!!! Professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with!

I'm so happy I decided to work with Resume Advisor. Jonathan is a great advisor/collaborator. He's knowledgable, helpful, and the turnaround time is fast--he sticks to his word! I totally trusted him from day 1--I just knew I was in good hands. As I knew I would be, I'm thrilled with the results. I'm excited to see where I land as a result!

Jonathan at Resume Advisor really helped me to re-do and update my resume (and cover letter too). He was very professional and responded in a very timely fashion! He also adjusted his schedule to fit me in so I could hurry and apply to a job that was posted. I was even put in touch with a manager at the company I was applying to! I would definitely recommend this company and their services!

Jonathan did a fantastic job with my CV. Since I got his help, I've heard back from almost every company I applied to (mostly big tech). I got 13 interviews scheduled in the two months following the resume update. All of a sudden it didn't feel like I was sending my resumes into a black hole anymore. I graduated from an Ivy League-level school and was sure that my resume was good, after all, I consulted several career advisers there. I wish I got Jonathan's help earlier! Turned out, for the first six months of my job search, I was sending out a resume that was totally not readable by AI and lacked smart 'key' vocabulary. Also, working with Jonathan was a pleasure: he was very responsive, efficient, and patient (even when I had a terrible background noise on my side during our call). I highly recommend Jonathan to anyone who starts their job search journey! Do it earlier rather than later!

It was a great experience, Jonathan was engaging and I felt he understood what I was looking for and tailored it that way.

This will be my 2nd update because I got ANOTHER job with the help of Jonathan's resume assistance! This time I went straight to the top and got a job as a concierge at a Forbes Five Star hotel! This is with only 9 months concierge experience and a 15 year massage therapy career before that! My story in detail is below from my other reviews.

With two new jobs on my resume, it was time to contact Jonathan for an update. I needed him to help me fit the new jobs on and edit out some of the older material. We did everything over the phone and online as he has you screen share with him. He's such a great communicator, he's works so quick and efficiently, and he has a way with words that is genuine to your job experience, but also sounds very professional and targets the job you are going for.

I can't say enough good things about Jonathan and his resume services. I've sent many friends and colleagues his way and they have all been more than pleased! The money I spent on having him revamp my resume has been returned in spades through income I got from my new career due in large part to my resume. And honestly, you can't not have him do your resume, since there are people like me out there who did and we are your competition! Lol! ***Update: I landed the job I wanted! As a concierge at a luxury hotel. This was with zero experience in the actual field of concierge. I know it's because of my resume. It really highlighted certain aspects of my career in the industry I wanted to be in. It's just so good and professional! I also got quite a few interviews with it. But the beauty is, I landed my dream job with it! Please read my review below, and know Jonathan will make the difference in getting you in for the interview.

I think I may just have the finest piece of writing I've ever laid my eyes upon right in my hands: my new resume! I am so incredibly impressed with how it turned out and so glad I decided to go with Jonathan and Resume Advisor. I looked around a little bit here on Yelp looking for a service, but Jonathan's website looked professional and all his wonderful reviews gave me confidence I was choosing the right person. I even skipped over buying a Groupon for half the price because I didn't want to skimp on something so important. And the money I spent with Resume Advisor was well worth it!
As someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for 14+ years, I've set my sights on a completely different department. My job history isn't exactly tailored for the new position, but I do have experience in the industry. I needed someone to help me turn my current resume into one I could apply to the new field, without fabricating or embellishing. Jonathan made me sound perfect for the job I want. I can't even believe that my name is on the header! It's exactly why I wanted to spend the money to have someone help me.
He was also so patient with me and never once made me feel like I was reaching for something too far out of my league due to lack of specific experience. His voice is also soothing and easy to listen too, and since the entire process was done over the phone, that's important.
He's quick to come up with verbs that really highlight what the job needs and obviously has a ton of experience in the resume world and knows what employers are looking for.
I just can't say enough great things about my experience. I'm ready to go get my new dream job and have a resume that makes me feel confident!
