Hi there Ashley, We’re sorry to hear about the frustrating experience with your landlord. We understand that tension between landlords and tenants can be disrupting, so we reviewed your support interactions to see how we could improve. After reviewing your chats, we understand that you reached out for instructions to download your rental payment history. The instructions that were provided, which applied to both computer and mobile device, were accurate and would have helped you receive the information you needed. One of our supervisors reached out to see if we could assist you with those instructions. Please know, it is our goal to make sure both tenants and landlords are protected on our platform. If we can still assist, we ask that you respond to the message we sent, or call our phone support team, and ask for a supervisor. [email protected] (646) 741-9393

Levi, We dug into the September charge you reported on the 3rd. Nothing in our system failed here. The charge was created automatically on August 11, exactly as it should have been. It was removed on August 27, when Delete All Future Charges was used on that unit. That action clears charges that have already been generated, not only ones still ahead, and September was one of them. The extra tenant on the unit screen cleared when the lease was recreated. We'd rather that action made its reach obvious before it runs. But the charge didn't disappear on its own, and there was no bug behind it. The real failure was the 24 hours. You got a reply in two minutes, then waited, then asked twice whether anyone was actually helping. Fast first replies don't count for much when it takes a day to find the answer. On the December issue, you were right and we gave you a thin answer. Returning a security deposit at the end of a twelve-month lease is routine work, and telling you to handle it outside the software isn't an explanation. We now offer the ability to do this in beta, and will be releasing it shortly to our whole customer base. On "worse every year": you've been with us since 2022 and through a  payment processor change. That's fair to be annoyed about, and four years in you've earned a straighter answer than a day of waiting. Charlie, our Support Supervisor, is reaching out this week. If you'd rather not wait, call (917) 793-6068 and ask for a supervisor. — The RentRedi Team

Hi Fredrick, We looked into your account and there is no security deposit here to return. You never paid one through RentRedi. We checked every payment on your account from March 2025 through February 2026, and all of them were rent going to your landlord. RentRedi is the software your landlord uses to collect rent and manage the property. Even when a deposit is paid in the app, the money goes straight into the landlord's own security deposit account. We don't hold it, we don't control it, and we can't release it. Whoever you paid your deposit to is who has it, and your landlord is the one responsible for returning it or giving you a written breakdown of what was deducted and why. Most states set a deadline for that after move-out, so it's worth looking up the rule where you rented. If you want us to walk you through every payment we have on file, email [email protected] or call (917) 793-6068 and ask for support escalations. — The RentRedi Team

Hi Raquel, Your two requests did stall. What we learned from Lessen was that their vendor had been trying to reach your tenant since July 31st, and the calls were going to voicemail with no way to leave one. The flooring job got scheduled for August 7th. The emergency HVAC job was still stuck. The failure isn't that a vendor couldn't reach a tenant; that happens. It's that you had no way to see it was happening or intervene. We would love to find a resolution for you and will be reaching out immediately. We can take these requests off the coordination service and back under your control. One of our support supervisors will be calling you. You've been with us since 2023 and you shouldn't have had to write a review to get this attention. We look forward to turning this around! The RentRedi Team [email protected] 917-793-6068

Hi there, Thank you for working with us to complete your tenant screenings with TransUnion, and for walking us through your perspective here. We want to clarify a few things about our services and our support team’s steps towards your resolution. After reviewing your initial call with our phone support team, I see there was a technical error that led to your call being disconnected. We greatly apologize for this technical error. The call transcript shows that our agent was in the middle of answering a question when the call disconnected. Please know this was not intentional, and we apologize for the frustration this caused. We’re also glad you were able to get the information you needed from our chat support team. Later, you reached out to us separately regarding your applicants’ pending screenings. Please know that we did reach out to TransUnion moments after you spoke with our phone support team. In order to provide the most up-to-date screening information, local courts are contacted and we escalate cases via email to ensure the proper applicant information is relayed. Athena, our chat bot, informed you that our team was awaiting the results of the screening, as they had not yet been relayed to TransUnion by the local courts. Please know that it is our intention to bring you the most accurate information available, so you can make the best possible decision when selecting renters. We received confirmation from TransUnion that the screening report showed multiple eviction histories associated the applicants within the expected timeline. While it can take time, we’re glad to provide accurate information to help you manage your business.

Hi, thank you for walking us through what happened here. We want to clarify a couple of things about how RentRedi works, since it sounds like there's been some confusion about the billing model. When setting up a landlord subscription, there's a payment screen that shows the plan selected, the payment details entered, and the exact amount to be charged before anything goes through, so nothing is billed without that being visible upfront. Tenants always pay RentRedi directly for their own credit and background checks. In order to use tenant screening, landlords have a subscription and this also covers full access to the platform, not just screening. This is more cost effective if you're sending out multiple applications or screening several interested renters over time. You can store all applications and screening reports in one place in order to determine the best renter for your unit. RentRedi's platform will likely have updated, depending on your last use of the product. We make very meaningful updates to our platform and product that have been shaped directly by feedback from landlords like you, so we're always working to make the experience better, not more complicated. Our 24/7 live chat support team can pull up your account, walk through exactly what you were charged for, and help with anything on the site you found difficult to use going forward. We hope that clears things up, and we are more than happy to help!

Thank you for sharing this feedback, and we're sorry to hear the experience felt this frustrating. We want every landlord to feel supported, so this isn't what we want you walking away with. We want to clarify that RentRedi gives landlords built-in application templates ready to use right away, along with the option to customize those templates or build your own from scratch. It's meant to be flexible either way, so if that wasn't clear when you were setting things up, our team is happy to walk through it with you. We also want to be direct: we pride ourselves on providing top-notch customer service, and we would never intentionally delay anything for our customers. If something felt off with the timing on your end, we'd like to understand exactly what happened. If you haven't already, please reach out through our 24/7 live chat so we can look into your specific account and the refund timing you mentioned. We'd like to understand exactly what happened there. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience and letting us have the chance to rectify any outstanding questions or concerns.
