Title: Empowering Impact Through Data, Words, and Global Connection Over the past several years, I’ve had the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally through a mix of field-based and remote work. My core background is in project management and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), where I’ve worked for more than 11 years, mainly supporting USAID-funded development projects focused on food security and resilience in Ethiopia. In my current role as a Senior MEL Officer at ORDA Ethiopia, I lead participatory planning processes, manage digital data collection using KOBO and CommCare, and analyze results using tools like SPSS and STATA to support data-informed decisions. Alongside this, I’ve worked remotely for over three years as a copywriter and product description writer for a Canadian company. This remote work experience has sharpened my communication skills and taught me how to be productive and collaborative across different time zones and cultures. It also helped me understand the importance of flexibility, clear expectations, and the right digital tools—qualities I see Remote.com championing. What I appreciate most about Remote.com is how it's making global employment accessible, fair, and structured. From what I’ve seen, your platform offers clear solutions for international payroll, compliance, and benefits—areas that are often complex and intimidating for both companies and workers. That kind of support is essential for professionals in developing countries who are often overlooked despite their skills and potential. I find this mission incredibly important and very well executed by your team. A small suggestion would be to continue strengthening language and accessibility support for non-native English speakers to make onboarding even smoother. But overall, the experience, brand values, and tech solutions you offer are outstanding. Thank you for helping professionals like me connect meaningfully to global opportunities.
