Webster BankReviews of public.websteronline.com

Websterbank es muy deshonesto se me ha quedado con dinero y lo peor de todo esque no lo muestran en la aplicación , solo se quedan con tu dinero y no lo muestran porq saben que es un fraude es un robo

I had opened checking and saving account online (verified through selfie and scan of driver license). I deposited a check of $3000 dollars to my savings account from my BoA account (jointly owned by me and my spouse and has the same address information on the check as well as with the bank) via the app. The money was withdrawn from my BoA account, however, my webster account has been restricted and can't be accessed. The representative told me that their fraud dept raised red flags that it is fradulent check. They will not close/refund my amount and are forcing just to go to branch to say that I own that check and check is legit. One of the worst bank I have ever dealt with.

Webster Bank (also calling themselves "Brio Direct") accepted my $2000 deposit, sent a receipt of transfer in progress, then told me my account was cancelled. This after depositing thousand$ with them for many months. The online rep insisted they had no record of the document for which I had a screenshot (luckily) and that my account had been dead for a month. Zero balance. After spending over an hour online waiting (and waiting and waiting) a supervisor told my new online rep everyone is confused, including me. EVEN AFTER SENDING THEM THE DOCUMENT BY EMAIL. Use Webster at your own risk. There are many better options, with better rates…which don’t claim to be “confused.”

Hotel California Bank. You can check out any time you like, but your money can never leave" Mom dies 5 years ago and still haven't gotten proceeds from her JTROS account.

absolutely horrific! this bank is run somewhere in china . they hang up on you and don’t answer questions ! they don’t help with online help! they should be investigated and closed down !

Absolutely the worst bank I have ever delt with. Better off burying your money in the back yard. Horrible

I own a JOINT account with my mother. I cannot Zelle money out of the Webster account. The error message said to call 800-325-2424 to resolve. I opened the call explaining it was. JOINT account. Gave them all my credentials and after 20minutes the customer service rep said my 80yr old hearing impaired mother had to speak to him directly. She was with me and gave all her credentials, by now 40 minutes had gone by. And then he said there was nothing he could do, we needed to go to a branch. Why say to call if the problem is not able to solved by phone? Why would I be blocked to begin with when I am on the account? I am going to switch her to Chase. Webster Bank is aweful

Webster bank is beyond the worst bank EVER! It's hard to understand how they are allowed to stay operating. I've sold my home and am attempting to get a payoff statement from them, but they are refusing to send it! Multiple requests ... and NOTHING!
