It gave me an equivocal result for HSV-2 which has resulted in a monumental loss of mental health. Now I have to pay for another test in a few weeks..

Thank you for reaching out to us. Equivocal results mean that your antibody level is slightly elevated, but not high enough to be considered positive. This occurs when your immune system has naturally elevated IgG levels, or if you have been recently infected. Indeterminate results are not "innacurate" or "inconclusive", though, or else a separate test would be run to confirm. We're sorry to hear that you are experiencing anxiety about your results, getting tested can be a scary experience. Our goal is to provide nothing less than 5-star service to our patients, therefore we would like to extend to you a free test for HSV at a date of your choosing.
